      I did Bavettes and Barry’s Prime last week. Barry’s prime was excellent. Great food, drinks and a fun atmosphere. Everyone seems obsessed with rib cap right now, so I tried that. Rachel will love it if she’s normally has a New York strip. It was faultless, but does benefit from being medium, rather than my usual medium rare.

      @@jack.with.an.e Been following Harlo for quite some time on Instagram, looks so good, but a decent ride to get there - definitely on the list. Barrys we do have a reservation for later this year - we tend to stay on strip so finally had a reason to be one Fremont one night so we had to book it.

    Great review! One could do a very enjoyable, complete vacation focused on food only visiting restaurants at Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazzo. Stay at one of those resorts, easy walk to dine at any of the four. That could be done with Bellagio/Aria/Cosmopolitan as well, but I enjoy the variety where you are now, especially since there are a lot cheaper options at the Grand Canal shops.
    I am amused that Josh is enjoying some varieties of mushrooms. The Stockholm Syndrome is kicking in. 😁 That mushroom and peas dish looked fantastic, very fresh and inviting.
    I’m also not one for fussy over service. It’s one thing to toss a salad or flambé a dessert at the table, but I haven’t needed someone to fuss over my meal that much since moving on from Gerber’s baby food. 😅

      Totally agree Ann - we really try to stick to the area we are staying most of the time when picking restaurants. This trip we stayed at Wynn so lots at Venetian, Wynn and Resorts World. Next trip is MGM properties so we will be back at that end of the strip since we prefer walking most of the time when we are on our trips.
      I feel I am forced to try mushrooms with all of them being thrown in dishes all the time, worth trying now and then I suppose.
      This felt like 2 too many people serving the dishes, one for each steak and one for each side is what it felt like - too much going on.

    Oh 😮 i was waiting for this video for a long time! my absolute favorite steakhouse in vegas. i think it’s the complete package 🙏🏻❤️🤩 location top, steak top, drinks top, sides top, service top….the porterhouse is what we got there last visit and it was simply perfect. i like aggressiv charred and seasoned steaks also

      Loved the steak. For us our only ding was our service felt off. Was about 20 minutes before the waiter came to the table, making a weird start, might have thrown the whole experience off a little bit. Loved the flavor and tenderness of the steak for sure.

    They used to have a bone marrow flan appetizer that was amazing! The steak looked like it was cooked perfect! Glad you liked Cut it's a place that's on my recommendation list.
    Josh, you took my "TWSS" first pick lol so runner up "It's not as thick and heavy, it's very tasty, very creamy." Another great review you guys are killing it!

      Oh dang that’s a good one! 😂 Bone marrow flan would have been awesome, we were quite underwhelmed with the apps on the menu but the Halibut worked perfectly since our late brunch turned into late lunch earlier in the day. The steak 🥩 was great. All the food was very good

    When ever I have ordered a porterhouse for two they always serve the first portion. That’s a traditional way to serve in good steakhouses. Your choice of appetizer was interesting. I enjoyed your review . #wulffdendad

      The beef part was fine - what I didn't show as much of was the others serving the sides. For the size of the table it felt very cramped...I should have explained that part. Thank you William.

      Definitely very loud. Our two knocks on CUT was the noise level and the slow service we got at the beginning. It was nearly 20 minutes before our waiter came to take our drink orders…felt forgotten and that just made for a bad initial impression

    Hey folks. Just curious. Did you order your steak medium rare or medium? Lotta pink. I'm sure it's delicious. Chives in the mashed potatoes, major yummy. I've definitely gotta try the Halibut. Personally, I prefer fried Haddock with vinegar, but that's just me. What kind of beer did you get? I just joined your channel, but pretty familiar with LV since my wife's family all live there.

      We prefer Medium Rare 😋 So it was cooked how we like it
      The Halibut was great especially as an app.
      Thanks so much for joining! The beer was Schonramer And schalch something. Both were German or Belgian Wheat beers. Have a pic on Instagram but I can’t make out the full names and definitely can’t pronounce 😂

    So what was the final thoughts on "being served?" Playing food table side is rather common at high end restaurants, isn't it? I'd add that this server seemed a bit nervous- maybe from filming or perhaps he's a newbie. Finally, although the food looked tasty, I don't think it matched the price tab.

      This was a tad over the top. I appreciate the steak being served part, but when they had extra people doing the sides at the same time it felt like there were too many at one time - (4 waiters if I remember) I really think the server was tight on space that led to him having issues getting the garlic butter for the steak. Food was very good, but unsure it would be memorable enough to do $400+ again (tip was extra)

    I will be at the Strat next week. Curious about the Top of the World steakhouse. Menu as follows:
    Bone in rib-eye $85
    Tomahawk steak $175
    … Have you checked out this steakhouse yet? Is the Tomahawk steak worth $175?

      We have not been to Top of the World yet. We have started to really enjoy the Tomahawks lately and I would guess we would likely try out the Tomahawk at that price for sure. We enjoyed one at Nusr-et and Toca Madera.

      Thanks Blair you certainly should check it out. Our food was very good, the restaurant itself was quite loud and we were a tad thrown off when it took our waiter nearly 20 minutes to come to the table - which threw the meal off. Certainly not enough to not enjoy the meal, but tipped it enough to not be in the best meal type category.

    Where does CUT fall in the steakhouse class of Carversteak and Jean George?

      I would say they all seem to be in a similar class. For us we got thrown off by the service initially. It was quite loud and our waiter did not come over for our drink order for nearly 20 minutes. After that the food was all very good, but we felt off from the start. Quality felt very similar to those though.

      We have gone to STK before in Miami, you can see a bit in our Miami Beach video. It is very much like a night club - very dark and very loud with music - if you know that going in you will be fine - the food was great. We may go, but the only issue is the MGM takeover. We want to make sure we are getting full points when we go.

    The company was great. The food was good but it was not memorable. It was all very good it just doesn’t stand out in my memory like SW or Gordon Ramsey. Except for that awesome Birthday fudgesicle. The fudgesicle was memorable.

      Great way to put it. Everything was good, but not best of my life level. For me the service taking 20 minutes to get to us threw me off on the experience.

      For us the quality of food was on a similar level so it comes down to ambience and service. SW on the patio was spectacular and our service was awesome. Cut had great food but we found the restaurant to be extremely loud and service was slow to start (20 minutes to even take our drink order) and then a little too much when the food came out - for us we preferred SW, plus the sear was amazing at SW. the steak was very good at Cut but not memorable for us

      @@JoshRachael I was at Cut in May 2022 and it was terrible on all levels, Food awful and terrible service. This really surprised me because i have been before and Bobby was my waiter before and everything was great. SW at Wynn much better. Try out Michaels room at South Point it is awesome

    I’m surprised you ate a rare looking steak when you order your burgers medium well. 🧐 Same price if you ordered a New York and a Filet separately. And you would have had 8oz of the filet which it looked like the Porterhouse was not an 8oz portion.

      We prefer Medium Rare on steaks and Medium Well for burger since there is something about bloody burgers that just throw it off for me - not sure why. Do get that bone in filet taste though with the Porterhouse. Price is similar but love the presentation and taste of the T Bone :)

      Steaks are sterile inside. You just want to sear the outside. Ground hamburger, has the potential for contaminates to have been ground into the meat.

    The serving part is to justify the price in a way ….
    Showtime!! I definitely not like that….
    It makes it seem like u r getting a bigger portion…. Same with the lobster….

      The serving just felt a little over the top with 4 people at our table it felt very cramped. Serve the meat but when they had others serving the sides at the same time it just felt like overkill. Thanks for watching!

    For me, once the food is cooked and served....I don't need someone playing in my food. Cutting it, carving, stirring NONE OF THAT. Just drop it off to the table and leave.
