For those who were as stomped as me. In the File Output > Frame/Animation ext > name.#.ext. This will also help with the Frame Range area if its greyed out.

I think they'll render frame by frame then you need to combine it yourself in video editing software like Primiere pro

Does Maya use both CPU and GPU for rendering or just one?

It uses either one of them.. Never both together
But it uses the GPU to Denoise the renders

Plus images let you composite it in after effects

There is no arnold renderer in the Maya 2022. This was another completely useless tutorial on how not render animations in Maya.
