@PeanutMike In what regard? Awk maegu is honestly average. Does nothing better than any other class, and is honestly worse than the majority in pretty much every category. Why play awk maegu for pve when you can play succ for much less work? Awk can not do large scale pvp, is a pretty shit duelist for 1v1, and many other classes are still much better even for small scale.
Not saying awk isn't fun, I think it is fun to play. But there is no reward there for the effort put in. Despite how fun a class or spec may be, no one is going to stick to it if it can not perform well in really anything.
interesting how u pretty much confirmed my thoughts on it despite me giving up on the class day 2 , too tryhard , too high apm to achive what others do by just holding some buttons , enjoyable for the speed and has nova awaken vibes but more than 1h on her and i would lose my fingers , i feel like she doesnt reward u enough for the insane effort u need to consistently keep her good , and nowadays a lot of spots need decent aoes and it DOES matter that hers are tiny . good info , thanks :)

Do you play on like the lowest settings? Is it best to play this way instead of it being pretty? I know it can stutter some.
In hardcap pvp she is like awakening mystic, but less damage, less tankiness, less protection, no suction, no slows and no grab.
So you're saying she's nothing like awaken mystic? because yeah she's really nothing like awaken mystic in PVP don't even know why the comparison was made, not to be disrespectful.

I'm a brand new player on console and have Maegu at lvl 58 but I don't have any awakening quests in the black spirit menu, I've already completed succession and have it equipped so I need to remove this or something no clue how to get this quest line 😢

@@k1rzenshe's not. Pretty much The same problem as awk maegu = too much apm, too much effort and not enough reward. Also, as some her skills animations are too long, its quite hard to keep her addons up during an entire combo. Drakania should get a pve buff asap, and i wouldnt recommend her for grinding unless you actually love the class and have fun with it.

I feel the same way, I loved the class, but it's definitely not grinding efficient. The PA needs to increase both the damage and the AOE of the skills a little.

Succ for sure, really strong early-mid-end game even after all those nerfs. End game grind succ woosa is better
It's definitely good at orcs if you consider 27k yellow there good. This is with a lot of messing up the combo and a lot of room for improvement. Of course it's nothing compared to the top classes like succ maegu's or awake nova's 35-40k per hour, but judgement shouldn't be made by comparing it to the top, but rather the average, if we're talking about viability

100% no, if you are planning on use Maegu for pve, use her in succesion, she still on top on mid and low game areas (260 ap and lower), DK I've seen that it's been years since the last time she did good, but hey, don't let that prevent you from playing what appeals to you, play what you like.
As a new player balance has no impact on you at all. It's really only relevant at absolute cutting edge endgame spots. Play what you want. DK is solid pretty much everywhere and awakening is still god tier at lower spots. This game is one hell of a grind and you definitely wont enjoy it if you feel forced into a class you don't really want to play.
I don't know what they were thinking when they thought it would be a great class idea if you lose your damage if you make even one mistake.
It's the worst kind of class for a grindy game like this. There aren't 10,000 zerkers running around because he's a hot chick. It's because he works, everywhere.
Bigger AOE, more critbuff uptime, and higher accuracy and this class is at least an A. Sticking to succession for now, even after nerfs it's better.

Mmm 20% crit dmg will make her a beast in capped sadly, but there should be more reward on lvl3 buff for sure. Either a combination of ap/accuracy/dr/evasion to make it more relevant.

Don't quit it, keep playing it! You never know when they'll buff it. She's indeed average in most places, but you can stomp Gyfin Lower 24/7!
PA still continuing the tradition of making awakening weaker. I wonder if that could be fixed by just removing the AP you get from the other weapon like Suc doesnt get AP from AWA and wice wersa (weapon aditional effects like bonus mosnter ap still apply). I wonder could PA have forgoten that suc classes get AP from awa wep, but not wice versa?

@@Raydr62 You are out of your mind if you genuinely believe that and need a reality check. Go and play other classes. Awk nova, succ woosa, succ maegu and succ zerker are uncontested top 4 currently. Very few other classes even come close to them and those who do require FAR more effort to ultimately fall short.
Also for the record the first pve nerf was partly negated by getting access to an awakening black star. The second was a proper nerf, yet its still less severe given we gained both the new pve crystal and 2 new crystal slots in general. The fact that you believe she's not a top grinder anymore over minor nerfs that were partially negated is just proof that PA need to act immediately on nerfs and not let people build up these delusions over 6 months. I don't think you understand how wildly overtuned she was. Personally I won't be surprised if she gets another nerf in the future.
she is the worst melee class/spec in the game i played almost all melee classes in the game in this is the worst imo ppl keep saying shes good in pve and they like 24/7 gyfin under and hexe all classes feel so good there coz of the way the spots are
If this Hexe clearspeed of yours is considered average, then PA has a lot of work left to do with a few classes. :D Because there are classes who'd wish they could do that.

@@rathgaming6173 That doesn’t make sense. With that logic, every low apm class should pull way less. There are alot of high apm classes that are shit at Hexe. Too many people are trying to wish awak Maegu to be S class, while this was never the aim from PA.

Ngl as far as im concerned, Awk Maegu is pretty average, which isn't bad because not every new class needs to be S-tier OP like Succ Maegu at its prime.
What I hate about it tho is the movement. Shift + A/D feels like ass to use, and so does W + F. Idk, it just feels unresponsive and I keep on overshooting with positioning. It's especially bad since Im comparing it to Succ movement, which is pretty fucking good.

They most likely designed her like this. Where the succession excels in PvE with big AoE, range, damage, mobility, ease of use, the awakening seems to be more focused on single target/small packs, with high apm, such as bosses, where you have short dps windows and have to be quick with unloading your entire skills onto the target. I think it's clearly not intended to be used for extended periods of time. Wonder how would she fare against the calamity bosses...I think PA gave us the succession for the usual grind and awakening for calamity bosses, pvp, tight packs areas and other scenarios alike. Rather then setting high expectations, hoping that it's gonna be mega op and even more busted then succession and then realizing that's not the case, I think it might be better to identify the possible intent behind it and the best use of it. You wanna do some black shrine and burst down some calamity bosses or some trollls on a saturday afternoon...switch to awakening, wanna do some red orcs, switch back to succession. Problem solved. From this perspective, Succ and Awa sort of complement each other.
Except their intent behind the class fails flat when succ can still do everything awak can, but better. Why would you do calamity bosses on awak when you can stay succ and enjoy insane range while being fully protected almost all the time? Why would you do pvp on her when succ has insane range which is arguably the best advantage you can have in pvp, if you dont have to approach people and get to melee range to kill them, you're already winning most fights by default. Even pve areas that would make sense for her kit like elvia trolls, succ still outperforms her there, because awak has no -eva or +acc buffs on her skills (as Verdict pointed out in the vid, her accuracy is abysmal, and so is her crit rate).
Why would you play awak when u can stay succ and outperform awak in literally every practical scenario? It's the same story as when awak woosa released, why would you play her over succ? Both twins' awak suffers from the same issue.
her pvp is definitely lacking, both large scale, and as a duelist. Largescale is just bad because of no aoe and no protected damage. For duels, the tools are just not there. Good duelists have the ability to pressure targets and force them to move constantly and use s smartly rather than sitting in superarmor. Awaken lahn has her really strong grab, despite lacking tools to trade. Ninjas, have really good damage and a lot of quick ccs. Musa, youll just blow up if you ever try to linger an SA. Awakening Maegu has non of these. No grab or good damage trading abilities to pressure and punish classes just sitting in block or SA.

Unfortunately, you can’t have it all. PA is notorious for making one stance better than the other. As much as I love the skill animation of awaken Maegu, knowing that succ Maegu is cracked in pve, then making her cracked in awaken is just not gonna happen. You can’t have both stances cracked. Same with Woosa. She is legitimately THE best end game pve class, so it’s bound to not have her awaken be that and focus more so on “utility” for PvP of all things. Us as a BDO community just expect tooo much from classes now a days. We want big bursts of aoes, best mobility, etc etc. pa just simply can’t do that. I say, if you enjoy her, just play her, and forget about numbers per hour. Also, can’t always have a class be the best at every grind spot, that just isn’t fair. PA should focus on making all classes at the same level for pve instead of making 2 classes cracked in both succ and awaken

People need to stop comparing to succession. Both succ specs are beyond broken and likely to keep getting nerfed in the future. The reality is both awakening specs are doing far better than a lot of other classes. PA's focus should be on bringing succ down a bit and getting those classes to the point where it actually feels worth playing. If you think awakening maegu isn't good enough for the APM you need to play more classes. Try awakening tamer, ranger, ninja and then tell me Maegu isn't good enough lol. Hell even succ musa isn't pulling that impressive numbers and is far higher APM.

1:59. The passive is stated, but it's placed in a very poor location.
It's actually located in the attack effect of Twirling Crane, but they definitely should change the wording of where.
Or better yet, change the location overall and formatting of it to be a standalone passive that would be easier to read.
I personally feel as though the lines about mentioning crit values should just be moved below the activation section because they are currently split apart and hard to follow.
So I can go and enjoy myself playing succ maegu and not worry that awa is superior? XD

Honestly, if she hovers around S- tier, I will definitely play her. I enjoy blinking from pack to pack and back attack mobs. PA just needs to give her some better outfits and I'll be golden.

I usually grind Orcs, Nagas and Centaurs, since I don't like Gyfin. Awk Maegu is okish at Nagas, horrible at Centaurs and Orcs, while good at Gyfin. On top of that she is horrible in NWs and mediocre at best in 1vs1... very disappointed. Ngl, I even liked awk Woosa more...

awakening kits are all right for me. its just that her pre awakening skills are all shit and only worth using in movements. in pve i guess more damage in her absolute skill. In pvp - I will be able to make her shine if they bring back stun cc in w+e. other than that, awakening maegu in pvp is more like a defensive one where you can only wait for a cc catch, as compared to succession where you can always put pressure on enemies. Pve in awakening is good - higher apm are definitely rewarded. and also because they nerf succ maegu pve so bad to the point where you have no choice but to go awakening in pve.
awakening can pull 30k+ to near 35k in hexe. lvl2 ls + agris.
XD dude really said they nerf succ maegu so bad lol succ is still one of the if not strongest after nerf lol, that class still pulling 55k+ h at orcs, the nerf did nothing except playing a bit more careful cause no super armor for shift lmb and shift Q

An F on most tests or maybe a C on tier lists. If you wanted to say middle of the pack you should have had a chart with all the other classes and placed her next to all the other average classes. OP's comment is not wrong, your rating is.

I will make a video inspired by this explaining performance to people who really think 5/10 is an F even though these are two different graphs to measure two different things based on % basis. Its like saying 60mph is slower than 100km/hr just because 60 is a smaller number... I am blow away.
@@VerdictBDO Ok, so we want to argue semantics. Cool. There are 50 class specs in bdo (between awakening and succ) and a 5/10 average would put awaken maegu at rank 25 for the top grind spots. Lets see what Garmoth data says: Hexe (rank 15), Trolls (Rank 8), Gyfin underground (rank 5). Seems to me like she is better than average for endgame grinding, and as people learn her kit I expect those numbers to only get better.
