Starbucks barista here with another coffee tip! Don’t let your espresso shot sit because it will “die” and be super bitter and have that burnt taste. It happens really fast (within seconds) if the shot is sitting without any liquid in it, so try adding just a little bit of milk right away when the shot is pulling
yes this also!! i always pour my shot on top of my vanilla syrup
My husband was a Starbucks barista and he's team - syrup at the bottom of the cup first > espresso > milk right away > then ice. Thoughts? 😀
@@smashasaurus yeah I don’t think it really matters whether you mix the milk in the espresso before you pour the ice as long as the espresso kind of cools down but like I said there’s no actual rules make it however you like!!
@@smashasaurus I do syrup in my shot glass, brew the espresso on top, then ice and milk in a cup, top it off with the espresso and syrup mixture (so the syrup melts into the espresso while it pours!)

Remi! You should try to make passion fruit juice. You put the pulp on a blender with 2-3 cups of water, you strain it and then add sugar and it’s the most amazing refreshing thing ever!

Hi Remi!! Just wanted to let you know that Nespresso sells pods for the Vertuo machine that are meant to be espresso and double espresso shots so you don't need to do anything with the buttons :) My faves are II Cafe and Double Espresso Chiaro (or Dolce)!
also, from another barista, if you put the espresso shot in the glass first with the syrup, itll melt the syrup and mix better. then you add the cold milk to cool down the drink, and finally the ice.

I’m a Starbucks barista, and just letting you know that you can do both espresso shot on top or mixed in, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. To make an iced latte, mix milk and espresso before ice. For a macchiato do milk, then ice and then coffee on top.
My favourite is a caramel macchiato. To make this, mix vanilla syrup with milk, then add ice, then espresso and caramel drizzle on top ☺️

Put a metal spoon in the center of the cup of ice and then pour the espresso in! The metal spoon will absorb the heat of the espresso and the ice won’t melt as much!!!

A yogurt hack! I mix in protein powder to non fat yogurt and it makes it SO much better and it is SUCH a Nice sweet treat but it’s so healthy and 40 grams of protein. I don’t really like non fat yogurt by its self so I always will add protein powder usually vanilla but any flavor is good! And just do it to the consistency you like. Usually I do the serving size of the yogurt (170 grams) and 1 scoop of protein 🩷
