While Suffocation was digging deep in the underground, Nirvana pushed songs like Territorial Pissings and Endless Nameless into the public eye. Music was heavy in the 90’s, and has since gone more underground and less accepted anymore. The last time a heavy album topped the charts was Slipknot with Iowa in 2001. Real passionate music is always out there, now you just need to search harder.

I don’t know specifically when this song was played but apparently it was in the year 1991 which was the year when Kurt Cobain began using heroin because he got suicidal due to his stomach pain getting so bad while on tour. That’s probably why he sounds so emotional during this song, it’s his stomach.
