The real question is, how does it perform or not with slush and frozen snow? Usually, slush clogs all 2 stage blowers, and it's a pain in the ass to unclog.

Only used once my brand new 28 plat rapidtrak. Only about 4" of glop, never clogged, found 3rd gear it threw it best @@shanew7361

@@shanew7361 if one puts the mod on the impeller
it will throw slush and even water. I’ve modded my Craftsman & Ariens and they throw everything including 3/4” gravel. Once in awhile you’ll break a shear pin if too aggressive.

I loved using my Craftsman 3 stage snow thrower. I learned every year that 1st stage cuts the snow: 2nd stage throws even the heaviest snow: 3rd stage drags the operator all the heck over the place , hanging on for dear life! It made winter fun and gave me a work out like no gym. That beast even crawled itself in and out of my jacked up work van like a boss! Loved that machine!

If you have a 3-stage, none of the 3 stages drags you anywhere. Lol.
1st stage is the "fan" or forward-facing auger in the center.
2nd stage are the two augers perpendicular to the center auger.
3rd stage is the impeller that actually throws the snow up through the chute.
Glad to hear you like your machine though!

@@paulmysliborski4832 I'm pretty sure they label it:
      1) auger
      2) accelerator 🤣 not even kidding, it was something like that
      3) impeller.
      I call it:
      1) auger
      2) cha-ching ($)
      3) impeller

I have one. My last Ariens product for the rest of my life. Ariens parts are perpetually in back order. The differential made by "General Transmission" in USA is kind of a yearly replacement part if your driveway is anything but flat, or that you actually have to ram snow pile because wet/freeze conditions, or snow that have been packed already for while. I blow up sheer pins all of the time. Particularly in spring. $5.00 each. The mechanism to adjust the chute is as accurate as a 75 years old "backo". The lock to prevent the track to tilt cannot stay engaged. Meaning it's like if I had a wheeled snow blower. The motor is big. But that's it that's all.

Bring out your old timer blower and we will go head to head. I used this blower on 400+ driveways just last year. Take a guess how many times I had an issue. ZERO Get out of here with that negativity

@@christiansterton That's the guy who uses his machine to throw road salt and stores it outside under a tarp so all the moisture coming up from the ground is trapped, not doing any maintenance for 3 years. Then he blames Ariens for the rust to get clicks for his channel.
