    If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. czcams.com/users/postUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

    Clearly the main beneficiary of this video are the air purifier industry. Not that I think purifier is not worth it, in fact I have one and don't regret it for MY situation. Surely there's benefit but this presentation is sorely lacking to answer the question if it is worth it for any prospective buyer's particular situation. No mention of initial cost and maintenance/operational cost. There's is also no mention of basic differences among products to properly guide anyone esp now that sellers are notorious for exaggerating or even misrepresenting their specifications.

I'm extra cautious and leave it on even if it's showing Blue that it doesn't detect anything, Because there is so much dust in my apartment and thats what I want to address.

    With most homes nowadays having an AC unit with multiple filters to clean the air, HEPA/CARBON filters etc, do we need to spend more money to get something that does the same thing as the AC unit?

    • @AirPurificationEducation
      @AirPurificationEducation Před 9 měsíci +1

      AC units don't come even close to filtering at a HEPA level and do very little to clean your air of particles or VOCs. Not all air purifiers are good or work well but some can improve the quality of your air by over 90% if sized correctly.

    • @HomeAirGuides
      @HomeAirGuides  Před 4 lety +1

      Air purifiers that only use filters do not produce ozone or electromagnetic fields. Some air purifiers that contain ionizers or ultraviolet lights can produce those things; however, many products emit less than 0.05 ppm of ozone which is the safety standard set by the federal government. Just check the product specifications to be sure that they meet the standard. If not, choose another air purifier that does if it includes an ionizer or ultraviolet light.

    • @HomeAirGuides
      @HomeAirGuides  Před 3 lety

      Yes. Air purifiers work best in an enclosed room. The more times per hour the air purifier can purify the same volume of air, the better the air becomes. If you open a window, then you can let in outdoor contaminants that the air purifier now has to filter out.

    In my experience air purifiers don't do much. They collect dust but not much and that's about it. I would still recommend gamers like myself to use one in your bedroom or house but in reality air purifiers don't do what you want them to do, it's disappointing but better than nothing. Idk about high end expensive air purifiers but in my experience cheaper ones do stuff all.
