Oh hell NO. they're very few that look ok...Alfa Romeo Sportwagon, Mercedes CLS shooting brake, Mondeo...but they will never look better than a sedan or a coupe.
+1. .. The classic grill, Luxury Option grill, at time code 27:00 is my choice. .. With the right aesthetic the E-Class 400 4-matic could be a stealth highway "sleeper". .. A little ECU tuning of the 3.0 V6 bi-turbo goes a long way. .. Be certain to check option "Air Body Control" which is also the suspension basis of the USA AMG E-Class kombi's. ..

Does the E-Class still have the option for a third row? My favorite thing about previous generations was that you could flip up those two extra seats for extra passengers, but I notice none of the demo models I've seen so far have them :/

I love all of the previous E-Klasse Estates, I mean the Autobahnpolizei use them! The T-Modell is just so elegant! If I had a need for an estate car I would probably sell my c63 and get, if I can get a good deal on a nice white one.
Very smart interior but much like Audi A4/A6/A8 I struggle to tell the difference between this and the C-Class estate.
Still, it is prettier than the previous car, although I prefer the rear light clusters on the old car.
I prefer the AMG car but would not choose the red belts and stitching, they are a bit brash looking.
The design is awesome, beautiful 👌🏻 in it's best sense. I can't say, which one I'll prefer. Because I have to try them in the real world. But I'll definitely go for one of models with big star in the front. This car has impressive features to choose. It's a dreamcar

Hey Thomas, finds super, dass du aus so einer Premieren-Vorstellung mal eben ein ausführliches Review machst. Die AMG Version sieht von innen richtig cool aus, werde ich mir nur niemals leisten können. ;) Aber grundsätzlich gefällt mir das Design richtig gut, viel besser als der Vorgänger.

Nice review Thomas, Like the 3 pointed star on the bonnet, dont like the new slope on the back, reducing the storage space when fully loaded with passengers and luggage!

This is a sharp looking vehicle both interior and exterior, I like the E250 interior over the E43 shown in this video, but don't care for the pin-striped wood accent on the E250. Some really nice features on this generation and since BMW no longer offers the 5 series wagon I will be looking to MB for my next wagon.

Cool vid, these look super practical. I didn't like the amg version, the first one was great, but the rear seat space seemed on the small side -_-. It looks much better than the old e wagon though. It looks much more sporty from the back, the old one looks very outdated. The front interior looks awesome though. I also like the classic front end with the star.

Hi Thomas. You have seen both the sedan and the estate. How would you rate the visability through the back windows from the drivers seat in the estate? I have ordered the sedan both I'am thinking of changing it to the estate.

A real Mercedes would have never had the rear seatbelts left without a proper restraint to keep them in place while operating the folding seats.
And I'm not kidding. Mercedes was famous for building luxury cars with a great deal of attention for functional details. They can't get lost on these details.

Really dislike the LED display for RPM and speed. Traditional analogue is the way to go.

A nice looking wagon, but, it needs some vinyl imitation wood stuck on the sides.
Then it would be perfect. Like a 1973 Ford Esquire station wagon.
Fake exhaust pipes are a good compromise between looks and money. Here, light rear collisions happen very often and those tail pipes.get squished quite often. This results in changing the whole rear section and that is not cheap. Now I presume it will be less expensive to change only the cover. Also this way you can play with the form however you like, making new looks, facelifts, or just as an accessory in the future.
The classic front grill looks so good. It's a shame that some people do really break the 3 point star on the bonnet (or how we call it - the Front Sight) It's so classic mercedes, very calm and luxury look. Most important thing here is the fact that you can choose - classic conservative look, more sporty expression or even a "bad ass" with the AMG look. You cannot find that in a Skoda Superb and that is why this is a proper luxury car.

It has a completely different interior design unlike Audi and BMW which follow the exact same interior design model for years without developing new design models. The fact is, it's not even close to the C-Class. It is in another quality league.

Like the fact that Mercedes has added water down to the AMG lineup now, call them AMG sport or something, there aren’t true AMGs, meaning these engines aren’t hand built like other true AMG engines, (Mercedes drops AMG Sport trim) AMG Sport models set themselves apart from full AMG models by using a modified turbo 3.0L V6 producing 362 (396) hp / 383 tq, it like Mercedes found another too charge customers more money, not mad at them, Audi been doing it with S brand, now BMW is doing it with M Performance, Cadillac has Vsport and others brands will likely follow

Couldn't agree with you more, the W210 & W211 are far better cars, my W210 just missed getting the W211 by a wk or two, but I wouldn't change it for one of those 2017's I think they look terrible

I agree, also some LEDs and silver painted plastic do not make a quality car. Imagine the car in six years time, perhaps you want to give a lift to a person with a bicycle in a storm and the electric seat release has packed in, designers seem to be obsessed with gimmicks over function, on a '78 Benz T series they have a spring loaded foot pedal in the side door opening so that leaves you with both hands to move the seat, also the seat folded lat in the old model, oh well progress, oh well you might not be reminded of the fault as the dash screen may have failed.

The overall color scheme of that car is disgusting, the interior reminds me of an ambulance, that "edge " on the dash I think looks dangerous, I could imagine someone getting a very serious injury from an impact in that, & it's only a 5 sweater ! why have they removed the boot seats ! Part of Mercedes attraction was the 7 SEATS They have shortened the boot, actually I think they have shortened the car ! Well, I'll stick with my 2002 W210. 3.2 Estate, & know when I'm driving there's no siren on my vehicle, as for the tennis balls, enough said, very, very disappointing from Mercedes
