This song has always been important to David Gilmour, in fact it may be his favorite Pink Floyd song of all time. Because it truly was the transition of Pink Floyd from an experimental psycho rock band to the very serious mature sound that came after with Dark Side, Wish you were, Animals, and the Wall. This single song was that pivotal.

During my formative years of the early 70's, the Echoes" album was very influential, the science-y, progressive nature really touched something deep and to hear this shortened 'jam' version brought back a cool flood of times spent with friends listening to this and the earth shattering discussions it sparked. Thanks!!!

You can tell how much they enjoy playing together. Pure magic and especially Gilmour of course. Guy Pratt is always great as he gets into it haha. He's great on the Run 1994 pulse version.

David Gilmour is amazing as a sort of diplomat. Got to see him solo concert in 1980's and he waved at a group of children with his smile. So calm compared to Waters. Wright really enjoyed this close to his last days.
