My very limited understanding is as follows: If Alex said anything at all to the Daily Wire that could be considered pressure to sign quickly / without reading or a misrepresentation of the contents of the contract, that could be considered fraudulent inducement in most jurisdictions. If he did nothing of the sort and the modified contract was made available for the Daily Wire to read before signing (as is at least heavily implied in the video), then it would likely be perfectly valid and there would be very little the DW could do to challenge it. Again, I'm not a lawyer, so take my analysis with a grain of salt.
You can't delete parts or alter a contract without the consent of the other party. Otherwise you are committing fraud. It would work in the same way if you change the amount of a cheque without the consent of the person who issued it.
