- Oof, after two long weeks of hard work and tears I FINALLY finished my very first animatic!
This song immediately came to my mind when I saw the Steven Universe movie and really wanted to do this cus I feel like it fits Spinel and her backstory perfectly!
I went to a lot of stress doing this but it was very fun! Although I'm not 100% satisfied with many of the drawings and poses I came up with, I'm quite proud of the result and I hope this encourages me to make more animatics in the future and maybe finish the ones I never finished in the past hahaha (?
Special thanks to my best friend VivixMolina who encouraged me to do this and helped me with some poses I struggled with and to all my other friends who also cheered me up during the making of this

Actually, now that I see this, I gotta say: This song fits Spinel more than it fits to Tempest Shadow CHANGE MY MIND!!
(Cause being forsaken to stay in one single spot for thousands of years by your best friend, only to recieve a message from someone she doesn't knows telling what happened it's a real reason to not trust in friendship
Meanwhile Tempest...: gets her horn broken because she tried to face an enormous bear ALL ALONE to get a ball back, after that she gets mad/sad cause her friends can't play with her (in a mlp game the story is told by her friends point of view and they say they were even supporting her, but she ran away, wtf?!) because of her broken horn and so she runs away from home and starts working for a monkey with lust for power and says she was betrayed and wants revenge, wtf?! (Maybe she even forsake her parents?????) but damn that pony at least knows how to sing something really edgy
i mean according to the movie it's less that they Can't play with her bc broken horn and more that they Won't. Shown by the fact they just picked up another friend after running away from her in her flashback during this song, so idk.

I like how all the female characters have those big thick triangular eyelashes, plus spinel looks a bit more mature(as in less child-like in appearance) here, which makes it more befitting to the nature of the song.

This song is way more impacting with Spinel's Backstory/Situation. Not only do the lyrics work for a backstory about someone being abandoned to stand idle in one place because they depended to much on someone else to know what to do on their own, But it's more emotional than "My friends don't like me cause my horn is broke and I can't play ball with them."
