Mr Blobby (with lyrics)

Released in 1993, this was a Christmas number 1 in the UK singles chart and remained at the top for a total of 3 weeks.
Mr Blobby was the creation of Noel Edmunds, a DJ and TV presenter. The character was a regular on the Saturday teatime TV show Noels House Party and became popular enough to spawn his own theme park.
It took me a long time to ‘get it’ but eventually I had to concede that this is a great novelty record well worthy of inclusion on this channel.
