  • Filmed 12/28/18 while I was waiting for Eric Landesberg's train to arrive. The call was a still alarm for a small fire. I have absolutely no idea HOW I managed to catch both truck 1 & spare truck 1 on the same call! The 2 tower ladders waited in front of the station so engine 4 could go ahead of them. Enjoy the AWESOME screaming Q2Bs! Facebook: / jazzbutterworth-emerge...

Truck 1 has always been responding to a lot of calls for fire alarm activations but I've never seen spare truck 1 respond before Sutphen fire trucks are one of my favorite apparatuses

Thank you, Jim! Yeah it was strange for sure. Luck was totally on my side.

you always know the sutphen is a classic, when it has those two sets of 3 light, in their wig wags. They stopped doing those dual 3 lights, around the late 1990s. As you can see from how the newer model wig wags look, with just two lamps

I wonder if they were picking up the spare to use while the front line is out of service.

Doesn't really make sense as both were assigned to this call.

@@jazzbutterworth I seen it before where departments will pick up there spare Rig in their front line rig and then get signed to the call while they're on their way back to the station both in their spare and Frontline.

Hmmm that does sound possible but T-1 was not using the spare that day if memory is correct.
