- Yes, Brokeback mountain came to mind when I was thinking about these two. Of course not in exactly the same sense. It is unrequited love on John's part. It is a friendship on both parts. It is a lot of regret and sadness on John's part, but also happiness of having Jamie's friendship. John is a noble and a fine character, and a good example of a real gentleman and decent human being.
The acting of these two together!! Brings tears to my eyes ❤
This relationship is one of the most beautiful bonds of love and friendship I have ever seen . And I think this is a bond of Honesty.The hearts of these two men are bonded together by their inner honesty . Something innate which first emerged and then went deep into a long journey of trails of love.

I loved it Elena! Jamie and LJG relatioship is one of my favs on the book and it was so well portrayed in the series! Thank you I felt it very touching and moving.
Hi Elena, thanks for sharing this! LJG is my favorite and David Berry does a fabulous job portraying Lord John. IMO, he is the best cast actor so far.. Can't wait to see LJG/David Berry in the NC/Fraser's Ridge & the Colonies in new seasons to come. Wouldn't it be Great if there was a LJG series? With Berry!

You have left out the part in Isobel and lord johns deleted scene, he mentioned Jaimie was a greater chess player but he always let lord John wins to save his pride.

Black Jack would understand immediatly John's feelings for Jamie, which are clear, and Jamie likes him very much as friend, he would be mad with jealous...
Imagine Black Jack and John in a duel for Jamie...
