Thanks for the good video. Cool little trick that really shows the vertical lines in the glasses, if you have two pair of polarized lenses, stack one on top of the other and look through the two lenses and you can see fine. Turn one pair 90 degrees and polarized lenses will block 100 percent of the light and they will look black.
I used to fish without glasses in general, and by the end of the day my eyes would be bloodshot. Not good for my eyes at all. Moved up to a gas station polarized pair, and it helped me see a lot more. Finally got a nice pair of eye surrenders and it’s definitely been the difference in a few fish catches
great video Brian, yes polarized is a huge difference in fishing, Ive worn them for as long as they have been available and on clear days I can see better on an angle to the fish. Straight down they work great too but that viewing on an angle is really way better with polarized. I do have two pairs, one polarized and one HD blue, in murky backwaters Ill often wear the HD because they create a nice overall color in bright sun, tight lines man!!
Tacitalbassin makes a good pair of sun glasses for any type of weather copper/amber and grey lenses work beautifully they are a little pricey but worth the price!!!
Look at a bright sunlit windshield or car hood with polarized sunglasses. Tilt your head left and right, you will see exactly how polarized lenses work.
Do polarized mess with your graphs? When I look at my phone, or the stupid console in my car with polarized it screws up what I see, don't have a boat, just curious how it affects your graphs.
I swore by my 6$ Berkley polarized glasses until I won a pair of glass Costas at a turkey banquet. I was blown away. Blown away by the difference in how much more I could see. Now I have a pair with green lenses that are awesome in low light and the blue for bright light. The green lenses make driving in the rain (inside the truck) so much easier too as a bonus! *funny, I wrote this before watching you explain the same thing. I've been trying to explain this to others, now I'll show them you explaining it, and they'll listen!
I used to wear the $5 bs walmart glasses and just this year grabbed a pair of Nike polarized glasses from dick's for like 100 bucks because i would wear em while not fishing too...night and day...I never knew there could be such a difference or what I was missing out on...
I have both Costas and WileyX’s , and I’ll say, they are both very good at filtering (i generally use amber lenses with green mirror, since we don’t have blue water in mississippi). WileyX let a bit more light in, the costas do better for bright days
as someone who went from your walmart level sunglasses to Strike King Polarized. Game changer for bank fishing. and for us budget guys. They are only 33 dollars. not horrible
Hey Cuzzin , what you doing with an evinrude engine on that other boat ? Shouldnt you be sporting a Mercury on that boat like your big boat ? just axsin .
Wish some of the good brands would make fit overs . $800 for prescription Costas and now my prescription has changed . Cocoons are ok but they just don't last that good . I bet if Wiley x made some a bunch of people like me that don't like contact lenses would buy them
To keep it simple: - polarization removes glare - lens color filters wavelengths (or color of light) - lens darkness regulates the amount of light Yellowish glasses have a brightening effect (making the surrounding "light up"), grey or brown lenses usually block most wavelengths uniformely and are used to reduce light in general.
My eyes are so messed up that a regular pair of glasses costs me around $700. I can’t spend that much again on a pair of prescription sunglasses. Cocoons fit-overs are ok but it’s a pain looking through both sets of lenses.
When I can find a brand - any brand - where the mirror finish doesn't rub off when I have to wipe my lenses clean, that brand will have a customer for life. I've gone through 6 pairs of sunglasses already this year because the finish keeps rubbing off. You'd think if you paid $90 or more for a pair of sunglasses, the finish wouldn't wear off so easily!
Not sure what brand of sunglasses you have but I've never had that problem with WileyX, Oakley, or Costas. I just use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe them.
Good stuff. I noticed on day I took my son to the zoo and looking down in the aquarium my son said I can't see it I handed him my shades I see it know 😎
If you are going to make funny faces in the thumbnails....I'm going to watch the video..... I guess I'm a sucker. Seriously though I did actually watch for your thoughts on polarized glasses.
Awesome advice. Another benefit I love about sunglasses is the added layer between you and a fly-away hook or weight.
They definitely help with sight fishing and also help you see structures and vegetation underwater to help with targeting and lure selection
Thank you for sharing how polarized sun-glasses work. The vertical light in to see down, but filter/block out lateral light.
I wear Costas, 2 pair, one for bright sunny conditions and 1 for low light. Blue for bright days, green for low light
I got the Peaks in blue mirror and copper lenses. Copper for when It’s overcast or sight fishing and blue mirror for them bright sunny summer days 👍
Good video B-Lat!! I’ve been wearing solarbat brand for several years. They do help!!

Great job B-Lat! I hate I missed you in Florence, Al. a couple weeks ago, I wanted a pic with my six yo son. Stay strong.
I have the Wiley X Peak and Love them!
Hey y'all do these go over prescription glasses?
Tacitalbassin makes a good pair of sun glasses for any type of weather copper/amber and grey lenses work beautifully they are a little pricey but worth the price!!!
I won’t pay over $30-$40 on a pair of sunglasses that I’ll probably lose anyways
I can relate to big Rick and Jimmy lol I freaking love them both....
I love the way b latt explains things, man even billy Bob can understand that
It is true!
Rick Ross , y'all probably don't know him, so jimmy Houston 😂😂😂
yes I have been sight fishing browns in a pond with polarized glasses on, its the difference between being able to see 3 fish vs. 21 fish
Hydrotac stick on bifocals are the bomb-diggity! I get the cheapo polarized and put the stick on bifocals ($20). No way I could tie knots without em!
Look at a bright sunlit windshield or car hood with polarized sunglasses. Tilt your head left and right, you will see exactly how polarized lenses work.
I’m like you, I don’t know why or how, I just know what works and in the long run, it should not really matter!!! Thanks for your important video!!!
lol not bad lookin’ at all. Thanks for the technical info 👍👍

It’s also why if you tilt your head while looking at a LCD TV it goes black.
Just discovered your channel. I like your style of plain talk. Keep up the great content.
Swear it's been like asmr for me for the last 2 weeks since I found him
@@ghostbox2 same here, I have been binge watching his stuff. Increasing my knowledge and enjoying his style
They must have sold out quick, there are no glasses on the website 😞. Awesome video brother, keep it up!!
I had a pair of custom oakleys for years but these days I fish in my everyday raybans, which are polarized.
Raybans have always impressed me. My current set is equal to or better than my assortment of Costa Del Mars.
Think of it is terms of venetian blinds. It will block all reflective glare at 53.4 degrees.
They also keep half ounce to an ounce bullet weights from damaging your eyes.

Not to mention that WileyX is also rated as a safety lense (plastic)…for costa, I always go glass, no scratches

Bro the walmart brand is strike king.
@@elonmust7470 I think mine were YUM. I mean they arent Costa lol.

Is that an Evinrude motor on your other boat?!!...where's Cam? Lol
Temple is the correct term!
No, but I enjoy wearing them. Plus WX’s are fire.

Looking like Blue Steel in the thumbnail
ROSAYYYYY!! LOL
Sir you need to try on a pair of Bajio’s. They are THE best fishing glasses.
Do yourself a favor and buy a pair. Get the glass.
worst headaches ever from not wearing eye protection while fishing
We need polarized sunglasses for EVERYTHING!!
I can related to Rick Ross much better lol. Another great video..

Some of us know Rick Ross sir 🤣🤣🤣
I can't fish without them anymore.
Kaenon are the absolute best I’ve worn, but you pay for them.
I think I'm Big Meech!
