Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27 - III. Adagio (arr. Sean Chen)

An updated recording of my transcription of this beautiful movement. From my UMKC Conservatory Faculty Recital on February 16, 2022. Compared to the original version from the Gilmore Young Artist concert, I tweaked some bass notes in the middle section build up.

Impressive in that it has the ability to re-create the feel of the orchestral version - full, rich and beautifully phrased! Gorgeous!!! I noticed that this was played a little faster than the version I heard from the Gilmore Piano Festival. I think I prefer the slightly slower speed, but not by much, but I do def like the additions in the base in the middle - more powerful and very impressive!
