Generally it happens for hard disks for the case of SSD their does not getting any types of problem so I am using Ubuntu from since 2 years and I faces many problems with hard dicks like this problem also so I apologize to you either you use windows or if you want to speak on Linux or Ubuntu , so you can switch into SSD drives.

Hey..I'm a mint Linux user
And after typing that command fsck /dev/sda4 , it doesn't actually suggest fixing.. it shows (optimize (y)) when I press y it checks the inodes..then it says ignore(y) when I press y it shows force rewrite (y) when I press y it does it all again.. showing only these two options: ignore force rewrite
Can you help me with that please?

you should try another commands like fsck /dev/sda1,2,3....10 and remember you can press 'Y' it should not create any problem bcz kernel is very optime in this purpose!!

Nope, but after a research it turns out that my hard disk was dying.. so this command won't actually fix this problem.
