- This was a LONG one, but well worth showing! The AWD cars are a bit more tedious to do than the RWD ones thanks to the front differential. In todays video we show you guys how to carryout the installation of the M Performance HAS Kit, with extra steps showing for All wheel Drive/xDrive models!
Buy this kit here: autocouturemotoring.com/produ...
Spacer part#: 31335A4A186 ; if you are installing the BMW M Performance HAS kit on a X-Drive G8x car, it is not needed if you have an RWD car.

This is the best G8X spring install video on CZcams. Thanks for the detailed information about the M Performance sleeve and tools. This helps a lot of people out, in understanding the reason they have to or don't really have to order that xDrive piece. The dealer is going to want to use it, so, if you get these installed at the dealer, get the part. My installed, here in California, didn't use the tool. I have these springs on my G82 xDrive. Again, great video. Thanks guys.
How are you liking them ride is still good. How does it feel compared to stock ? Thanks !
@@elevatedboost7444 the ride isn’t bad at all. You can tell it’s lowered, but it’s easily livable, even on the lowest setting. I have the 20/21” 1000M and it’s still not bad.
I enjoy watching installs from folks that know what they re doing. Great video
BMW xDrive doesn't like being lowered more than 1.5 inches because that puts them out of their suspension geometry spec so they often begin to break front drive shafts.
Change the front to 20" rear wheels so it's a square setup it looks way better
You're a GD lifesaver. Could not get my strut out tonight. Wish I saw this earlier.
I think I mite drive the 6hrs from Philly to get my installation. Love the detail and knowledge. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonder if it will settle at all. Very subtle but looks great
Best tutorial with torque specs for g80 xdrive.. point blank..
Thanks so much for this video. Have the EXACT same car down to color and planning on installing MSS kit. This made me feel much better ab the install
what colour is this?
@@dboooshi Interlagos blue. Exclusive to the jahre edition m3s
Man it dropped it by less than an inch in front and about half an inch in back.
Can you provide details on how much you lowered the front and rear to maintain the stock rake angle?
Do you guys remember what spacers were used with the stock wheels?
Can you give us a tool list? everything needed for install
EDC still works with these right? Like are there still noticeable changes between Comfort and Sport suspension settings with the mperformance springs you just installed?
I was so close to ordering my G80 in that blue or Le Mans blue. I ended up going with Portimao blue but those other blue’s are beautiful.
This is the M-Performance coilovers right?
Do you have the P/N or link for that M performance suspension kit? I was looking at the KW HAS kit. Would BMW give me a issue if using one vs the other?
What size spacers and are those PZeros or PS4S as I heard that makes a difference on spacers.
Do you need to put the car in "maintenance mode" or disconnect the battery for any reason due to needing to disconnect the EDC connectors?
How is the install different in the manual cars?
Does anyone know the name of the tool he’s using when to assist in pressing on the front strut and removing it? I need that. The brass colored thing with the prongs on it
Anyone know if the "Raleigh" front spring install method (w/o removing the entire strut) works on an X3M ????
Great videos folks. Thanks to you, I can now install my chassis myself. I do have one question though. How many Nm does the stabilizer bar get and how much do the two screws on the bottom of the shock absorber get? Warm greetings from Germany
I would be happy if I got an answer 😊
For future ref. the strut to swivel bearing aka shock sleeve is 56 Nm and BMW recommends replacing the bolt and nut (M10)
The M10 nut on the drop link is also 56 Nm, replace with new.
Thanks for the very informative vid. Is it absolutely necessary to loosen the front knuckles to be able to drop the strut with the Xdrive?
It allows for more wiggle room, I’d say it isn’t absolutely necessary but should be done to make your life easier
@@NorthRaleighPerformanceif we do decide to loosen them what are Nm to tighten them back ?
With this kit, how much negative camber were you guys able to align it to?
Customer took the car to get it aligned themselves, we aren't sure what the alignment specs came out to, but I'm certain it was close to stock in the front (aside from whatever camber was added cause of it being lower) because no adjustable camber plates, and the rear.
bro that color is crazy. what's the name of it?
Interlagos blue!
great kit the front lowering is a let down..
Put a 19 in the front
This drop is super mild.
How long does the spring installation take?
