The sample sizes of the testing players and the player base at large are so drastically different that this is always kinda bound to happen, specially when releasing more than one card simultaneously
they do that so people spend money to get it then they end up nerfing it later and screwing those people over lol

Thank goodness, as being punished with thousands of damage because you place a defending unit one tile too close was a nightmare.

I think they should reverse the curse nerf, even maybe buff it a little and make it 3 elexir. I just feel like the curse effect is too strong for 2 elexir and trying to balance it with this will either lead to it remaining broken or it being nerfed too much to the point where it's unviable.
I know some people think it should spawn baby goblin instead but I feel like the strength of the spell is not the goblin but the ability to have a rages up graveyard for 4 elexir if your opponent dares to play swarm.

Goblin curse should be good against swarm cards, but the damage amp should definitely be nerfed to 25%
Elixer cost needs to go up. Direct damage, damage amplification, and spawns units all for 2 elixir. Too versatile and too much potential value. At 2 elixir, this card could potentially invalidate most swarm based cards and oppress them out of the meta and even against a deck with no swarm cards, you can still get value with the damage amp. Regular goblins cost 2 for 4 goblins and was a strong card before this card came out. If this card yields 4 goblins which does happen often enough, you just got a massive amount of value for a meager investment. The cost should be at least 3, I would argue 4 even and then play with the other values of the card to find a potential balance
It's actually insane that this card is 2 elixer. At this moment it's much more broken than Goblin Machine. It's so situational but imagine a 2 elixer card winning you the game. It should be 4 elixer instead.@@davidmitchell621

Curse could be bumped up to 3 elixir to hurt the strategy of Curse + Rage/Zap/Snowball/Log. It’s too easy to couple with a small spell and trash any swarm.
I really never thought they would top the phoenix but I should expect anything at this point

If they want it to be a support card, it needs to be less tanky and hit slower. If they want it to be a mini-tank, its rocket damage needs to be cut in half. If they want it to be a win condition, it needs to be at least 6 elixir.
I think 6 elixir would be perfect honestly. Revert back the rocket damage except crown tower damage and raise the elixir cost to 6 elixir should balance him out.

That's the point. It's on purpose. They already have testers like Ian and Morten able to play before it's released to the public. It's not accidental it releases broken, it's a monetization thing

They do this on purpose. You can't accidentally release something stronger then Phoenix pre nerf
I mean the rocket damage used to be around 600 damage a shot to crown tower, which was so broken. 200 damage is manageable at least

Why is nobody talking about the prince and ram rider 😭 if you use them with goblin curse and evo zap it automatically takes a tower, the tiles needed to charge should be 2 instead of 1.5

Goblin curse is also a top most broken card of all time. It just happened to come out with and be overshadowed by a much more broken card

Goblin machine hit 84% I think, even more than Phoenix on release…

I woulda been able to play it pre nerf if I didn't have to fight through countless 9000 players on the goblin ladder as a 6k trophy player. It got nerfed right before I got it 😭

I never used it for tower damage, I used it to get rid of anything hiding behind other troops or the tower like wizards and musketeers
You can almost predict how good a card will be long term. If it’s so broken it needs a nerf in the first week then it’ll stay good so they can milk mom’s credit card.

Goblin curse seems like the more broken of the two. I suggest turning every other character to turn to goblin for a decent nerf. So bats would produce 3 goblins instead of 5, archers would make 1 goblin, goblin gang would make 3 etc

Goblin curse still broken. Personally, I think it would be cool if they made it so killing troops will spells doesn't trigger the curse. Also make it so you can only have a max number of goblins (maybe 6) on the field at one time.
I remember a while back them saying it was easier to release cards stronger to tone them down than release them weak and tone them up, which makes sense since more people would use a broken card rather than a heal spell, but them using that to milk money out of it is kind of ridiculous. Still, I think the Gob machine is actually balanced now, the current meta is just very janked up by the OP Machine but that'll die down most likely - and I'd say the Curse is actually really situational? I'd still rather its dmg multiplier to just be 20% so it's actually fair, but as for the goblin thing it's really just situational, like the mother witch really

Honestly, from this gameplay and how the nerfs only targeted the rocket feature of the card only, I still think this card is broken. It isn’t as obvious as it was before but being able to deal with air and ranged troops while defending against what’s in front to tank for the cards is still stupidly strong, and the fact that the card still punishes you if you don’t have perfect placement still damages your tower and that tower damage adds up over team, even if it has been nerfed significantly. I doubt people will stop using the card

Decrease the radius to a fireball radius i think or lower
Increase the damage it does to take a skeleton/bat in 3 ticks

A skeleton has 81hp. 81÷3=27. I think the nerfed Goblin Curse should do 27 damage per tick, so that skeletons die in 3 ticks. Currently the curse does 25 damage per tick.

You don't use it to clear swarms. It's not effective at that, don't use a card for it's worst effect, use the best part of it.

@@JaredMasaitis The damage bonus is the best of part which is why that part of the card got nerfed. Clearing swarms can be okay if you use it on your side but theres other options that also work well on offense. The damage bonus is something that no other card has and it can be ridiculously strong.

They should make it 6 elixir but give it some extra hp for compensation because to me it looks like they wanted the machine to be a competitor to the goblin giant, and nerf the curse's duration by 2 seconds, it just lasts wat too long
i dont think the curse needs another nerf but goblin machine can get a small buff and moved to 6 or 7 elixir
well, i think it can work with a 1 elixir increase but stats dont need changed again
