SPEC OPS: THE LINE All Cutscenes Full Story (Game Movie) @ 4K 60FPS
The game begins in medias res with Walker, Adams, and Lugo flying in a helicopter past the skyscrapers of Dubai, shooting down several pursuing helicopters until a sudden sandstorm forms, causing one of the pursuers to spin out of control and crash into the trio. The story then jumps back to the start, with Delta traversing the storm wall to the outskirts of a mostly buried Dubai, being taunted on broadcasts by the Radioman (Jake Busey), a DJ and former journalist speaking for the 33rd. After coming across refugees being rounded up by the 33rd and engaging in a firefight with both the refugees (who believe them to be with the 33rd) and the 33rd (who believe them to be with the CIA, who have been supporting the refugees), Walker elects to disobey orders and find Konrad.
Receiving a broadcast of CIA agent Daniels being interrogated by the 33rd, the team chooses to interfere. Tracing the signal's origin, they find Daniels already dead; the broadcast was a trap set for fellow CIA agent, Gould. Gould helps Delta escape, but is later captured and killed while assaulting a location called the Gate. The team heads there and continues the attack. Finding it heavily guarded by the 33rd, the team employs white phosphorus to obliterate their opposition and advance further into the city. While walking through the aftermath, they realize they accidentally killed 47 civilians moved to the Gate for shelter by the 33rd. Walker blames the 33rd and vows revenge.

Walker's been insane since the beginning I guess, even before seeing Konrad's face on the bus.
Notice at 8:14 atop the vehicle on the right, fresh dead bodies with costumes similar to the enemies. And then look at 9:09 in the cutscene, no dead bodies near the farsi speakers.
Kinda support the theory that all this is in his head, or konrad's head, dunno which is true. Even the ending which he shot konrad, the vehicles that came for his rescue were all jungle camo, another sign of hallucination. From start till the end almost everything's filled with subliminals and symbology, including the stop sign with ravens flying away when you passed it. The person that said ten-hut is the same with the one that asks you "what's the next mission commander?", even his eyes 1 white 1 black has meaning of who he was representing for in Walker's/Konrad's mind.

I don't think just giving it modern graphics takes away from the amazing narrative and message of the story.

I think the ONE last thing I want with this series is a prequel with Konrad as the protagonist. It would show how he originally went into Fallen Dubai and saw a bunch of different local militias vying for total control as the 33rd involve themselves at first with noble intentions, but eventually making more and more atrocious choices in order to “keep the peace.” Title it something like “Spec Ops: The Damned”. THAT I would buy.
there were no militias fighting for control over over Dubai, and Dubai wasn't wrecked when Konrad arrived, he arrived to attempt to evacuate the civilians before the storm struck , everything was fine before the 33rd arrived, when the storm hit, Konrad started taking drastic measures to ensure stability, he locked the water away so the 33rd could ration it out and even went as far as executing people as examples to maintain order, after the failed evac, there was a mutiny, the 33rd split into the Damned and the Exiles, the Damned won and the leaders of the mutiny were set on fire and burned alive by Konrad as an example, all this made the people angry with the 33rd, the CIA,in attempt to wipe everyone in the city out só word doesn't spread, arms the civilians in hopes they take each other out, these armed civilian forces fighting against the 33rd are the insurgents, Delta gets attacked by insurgents because they think Delta are with the 33rd, 33rd shoots at Delta because they think Delta is with the CIA and the CIA shoots at everyone, it's a mess

It's kinda unrelated but it hits me the same, there's a mini series called "The Terror" about the real life british royal Franklin expedition to the north pole that ended in total disaster. Two ships got stuck in the ice for over a year, the captain died, they all decided to try and walk back, they ran out of food, the crew got sick left and right, they had to resort to canibalism and in the end they all died horribly. The absolute bleakness of the situation the man find themselves in reminded me a lot of the tone of Spec Ops
@@detectivepayne3773 Well that’s exactly what I mean; we could see it all from his perspective. Having to fight his own men, his desperate but ultimately futile efforts to keep order in an increasingly maddening situation. You could DEFINITELY make a game out of that.

Aggravation, despair and, then, most dangerous of all, dehumanization. Ideals won’t bring you food, nor will morals sate your thirst. Surely, you’ll be forgiven for what you did once you get back home, right? Because you had to do what you had to do… in order to get back home.

(Sigh) One of the best games I ever played. I can still play this game today and still feel it’s impact. This is a timeless ageless game, a hidden gem some don’t know about.
A piece of me never left Dubai, a piece of an 18Y/O me still has a duelshock 3 in his hands fighting the damned 33rd in a godforsaken ruined city.
This game is the gold standard of being kicked while down. A heroic story with the hero secretly being the villain.
I believe the beginning of the game is Walkers death and the rest is him in his own personal hell.
I believe leaving Dubai at the end is Walker still lying to himself so he is forced to relive it again and again.
I believe the proper ending is Walking accepting what he has done and killing himself. That look on Walkers face is not just a look of death. But a look of a man who can finally rest in piece(s).
God that ending is masterful.

Understood. I myself initially killed myself as Walker without knowing the alternative endings. I felt so bad for killing all those civilians with phosphorus, which Lugo strongly declined against.

The sad part about the death of Adams is they likely thought he was the main guy responsible for all the disasters with him pushing Walker and going gun blaze of glory.

And I'm a old school gamer, jrpgs, battle Axe to Contra.
Never even knew that I was on the ride I was till I was there.

2.Torture or inhuman treatment, including biological experiments (bombing the gate with white phosphorus and various unnecessary brutal take downs)
3. Extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly ( the entire game, you were never meant to come here)
4. Compelling a prisoner of war or other protected person to serve in the forces of a hostile power (forcing the 33rd soldier to tell you where radioman is)
5. Killing or wounding treacherously individuals belonging to the hostile nation or army (killing radioman)
6. Employing weapons, projectiles and material and methods of warfare which are of a nature to cause superfluous injury or unnecessary suffering or which are inherently indiscriminate in violation of the international law of armed conflict (using white phosphorus)
7. directing attacks against civilian objects, that is, objects which are not military objectives ( all the buildings destroyed in the dogfight in the helicopter)
8. launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects or widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment (white phosphorus, Walker didn't know that the camp was full of civilians but using white phosphorus was excessive and he knew that)
9. Killing or wounding a combatant who, having laid down his arms or having no longer means of defence, has surrendered at discretion (shooting radioman despite his surrender)
10. Violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture (the entire game)
11. using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare by depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival (destroying the water supply)
12. Declaring that no quarter will be given "Sgt Lugo is dead, for that i will give no quarter"

2:01:00 Never have I ever seen a player get peer pressured by an npc before. You only started shooting civilians when you heard Adams shooting. But you got the heroic option that said that you chose not to gun the civilians down.
Yep this was the game where you commit a war crime in a mission. The part is at 1:01:45

The Last of Us 2 is a pussy's game in comparison to this. Many criticisms are made to Last of Us 2 for being "too extreme" and even though I loved the game, I never felt bad for my actions until hours after I did them

Best third person shooter I've ever played
one of the most underrated fps game imo. when i started to play it, i thought it was gonna be some casual average shooter but i was very impressed at the end.
edit: also as you progress through storyline it hits you very hard at some moments. (like white phosporus scene)

Just finished this game for the very first time. It's 2021. One of the best games / stories I've ever played. Wow. The game mechanics aren't the best but the adrenalin I got playing this and the plot are superb!
There’s kinda an Easter egg in the beginning of the video, you can see that the American flag is upside down, and the American flag is not to be flown upside down except as a signal of dire distress in instance of extreme danger to life or property.
Kinda wish the ending credits song would’ve been “The End” by The Doors.
