#Unboxing #Drumeo #QuietKick - Hudba
Do you own one of these? What do you think and how are you using yours?!
I received mine today (before watching any videos) and I agree with everything you said. I decided to return it for two reasons: First, it was way louder than expected. Not necessarily the beater hitting the pad, but my pedals themself shaking the entire floor. Secondly and even more importantly to me, I was disappointed to learn I would have to adjust and readjust my pedal settings everytime I switch between my kit and the Quiet Kick. I was hoping I could swap the beaters without adjusting any other settings on my pedal but that wasn’t the case. I personally don’t see the value in practicing on something where the settings are different when I transition back to my kit. That doesn’t seem like consistent practice for learning your pedals. (Similar to how adjusting your spring tension every other day would throw you off.)
Sorry for the double comment but I realized I left 2 things out and wanted to be as specific as possible. I use Pearl Eliminator Direct Drive double pedals. And the adjustment needed was the beater angle. Ultimately if there was no adjustment needed everytime I wanted to use the Quiet Kick then I would have kept it regardless of the noise. Hope that helps ✌️
Yeah the beater angle needs to be bent further back
@@shatteredstiks7392 I bought it, and this was my biggest complaint as well. They're developing a second version, so hopefully they fix it.
I have one but I don't use it because it's way too loud. I can't use it in the flat I am living.
After having tried almost every kickdrum practice-pad on the market my recommendation for the quietest pad is:
Footblaster Kickpad with Roland NE-10 Noiseeater (or sth. similar selfbuild) and Tama Softsound Beaters. That's a combination I can use in my flat.
Nice running into you and shaking hands in the pit for ADTR last night bud! What a show.
The double kick option has been out of stock for quite a while now just checked their website again and it's back in stock so I immediately ordered one LOL super stoked to be able to practice double kick without the noise produced from a bass drum
Hey Wyatt! The Trick Pedal has a hoop clamp adjustment, maybe if you send it all the way forward it may work, you can see is missing the pad by a centimeter and in your pedal you can see more-less a cm that you can send that clamp forward! If you can try for us who use trick pedals would be awesome!
The other thing is with the double pedal not hitting the pad, the beater shaft is bent....rather than keep it perfectly in line you probably could turn it inwards possibly so it can hit the pad? The force of the kick might spin it further off centre though ....possibly a small flat piece of metal under the base could align it to centre.
Hi Wyatt, thanks for the video. I own one of these Drumeo pads, but I am not using it like I would like because in my Pearl Eliminator or my DW 5000, the Drumeo reverse angle beaters end too close to the pad itself, so I don´t have the range to use it propperly. When I try to change the angle of the RA beaters, my pedal boards have to be too high, making it unnatural to play. Just by changing the angle of the RA beaters or the angle of the pad, the problem would be solve. This hasn´t be the experience to anybody else? Best regards.
Very cool!
I'm using dw go anywhere practice pad setup. Try it it's got kick pads built into the stand that holds the rest of pads its like 5 piece kit just quiet. Hope your drum contents back hope yall have great day. You r awesome Wyatt.
Do you think would work with DW MDD , or would it be more like the trick?
Dang I wish I watched this before purchasing this practice pad because I have the Trick Bigfoot pedal and absolutely hated this. I had the same problem achieving the right beater angle, while avoiding any adjustments
Drumeo presents: quiet kick
Wyatt presents: quiet kick..but it sounds like an actual bass drum
Someone else having problems at higher speeds? When i try to do 16ths at 130 bpm the pedal moves everywhere
MAAAAN I hope this is ok in my apartment. Ambient noise doesn't seem like a problem cuz I'm already on a pad. It's impact noise. I'm at least going to try because all I have is that big turd of a Gibraltar pad that's just a hunk of triangular metal, perfect for transferring all that into the floor.
Seen you react to Chris but you should check out Sleep Token's drummer Vessel II , they dropped some major drum 🔥 these past few weeks.
I would love you to react to Violet's tale from Ren!!!!
Make your own bro! Partner up with Drumeo and come out with your own version/edition lol
I think you should react to Violet's tale by Ren! would be a great one to see
React to Violets tale by REN, you'll regret it if you don't
Bro you need to check out the new devil wears prada
W
my electronic kit makes this thing unnecessary but I do think its great for folks who only have an acoustic kit
is this product quiet?? i dont think so...
Wyatt you used to be ripped man
Hey wyatt idk if you ever heard" 11 Minutes" by halsey and yung blud with Travis barker but you should DEFINITELY REACT TO IT
i have a tricks pedal, im so dissapointed 😢
The other pedal
Geezus, watching you try to adjust that Trick pedal was just painful. The most adjustable pedal on the market and you couldn’t simply slide the beater up enough to hit the pad?!
what is wrong with your ears
