We thoroughly enjoyed both performers. Both can still play, sing and perform at a high level. Not sure comparing them would be fair. Bruce was in a stadium in his home state while Melissa was playing a theater in Lancaster, PA when we saw her. Would go see either act again if the chance presented itself.
Jake is off key even in the lower registers, shrill, and lacks breathe support. Some sax fom a random wedding band could have stepped into the role. But we've had over ten years of this bad playing now.
This sound person deserves a medal. All of that instrumentation and you can hear the piano so very clearly.
