Pulled it from my first booster box today! Such a beautiful card, the centering on mine is a little off though it would probably grade a 9
I think that stores have a responsibility to sell current print sets at MSRP, whether it's good or not. Once the set is out of print or the unlimited edition comes out then price it however you want. It sucks not being able to get anything for MSRP anywhere. That's what the local shops should be there for.
Picked up one box from my local, Was Watching this while opening.... then boom pulled CR FaSolfachord Fancia. Beautiful
All 3 archtypes have potential especially the sneks, but me being a synchro fanboi Im definitely eyeing the space bears core lol

I think the set is actually really cool. That ursarctic archetpye is the coolest from the set imo.
At least they’re starting to incorporate old school cards in a lot of the new sets but this one is just not cutting it for me

Og - do - a -dic is how you pronounce it. Its about the Ogdoad which are the primordial gods from Ancient Egypt.
Just stumbled across your channel a few days ago, im addicted to these openings the nostalgia is next level. Everything about it just reminds me of a time when things were simpler. I can just remember saving my lunch money for the week and heading to the toy store to get a booster pack. I sucked at actual dueling but i loved the thrill of opening a new pack and not knowing what you could find. Keep up the great work, awesome videos man

They should've rolled with "Abhyss" as the name for the archetype imo.

Man the new CR look SO cool. I feel like this set flew under the radar for sure, I think its got some really cool cards in it.
I guess my fav card would be the one with the really hard pronunciation LOL I think Aleirtt, the ogdodadic dark seems heckin cool

Someone at konami watched your videos of trying to pronounce german and Spanish cards. They thought what if we made the names just as hard for him in English. Thus was born this tongue twister of a set.

I bought 3 boxes. I've opened one so far. I pulled a Ogdoabyss ultra rare and a Snake Rain collector's rare. So I'm pretty excited about the next 2 boxes!
Not sure about the new archetypes, but new set looks like a fun way to bring back some old archetypes that never saw much play!

I like the Ursarctic monsters, I've been a water attribute since I got fury from the deep as a child. That said, I never had enough reptile cards to make a decent deck with them, so maybe they could be nice.
Just got 1 box and pulled 2 Ogdoadic Ultra rares, and 1 Ogdoadic Collecter's Rare. I can't wait to mix it with the Lair of Darkness deck, then eventually the new Alien support

I've opened 5 Ancient Guardian boxes. Each one has 3 ultras. If you get a CR you still get 3 ultras on top of the CR.
This set definitely has some challenging names!

The value isn't good but hoping the ogdoadics make Snake rain viable

I think is a pretty good set with great reprints like snake's rain and new interesting archetype like the ursartic. Not amazing like toon chaos but definitely better than genesis impact

Honestly I don't really care about this set. There are no nostalgic cards and I think that's where Konami is missing the mark. But as always, it's fun watching you open these sets for us Ruxin

My locals definitely charges too much. $84 for a new booster set is steep as heck, but at the very least it keeps em in stock.

The one set is based on DO RE MI FA SOL LA TI DO from music. Think that song from The Sound of Music, if you've seen it. Each one goes with a different musical note!
Just got back in too collecting 2 months ago. I bought 3 box's, of this set opened 2 of them keeping the 3rd sealed, not going to open it out of the 2 box's I pulled 2 collector rare's not sure how many Ultras though

If anyone has gotten boxes and think its gonna flop, I'd checkout Team Samurai X1 for their new FTK deck which uses a lot from Ancient Guardians. From a collectors stand point ANGU might be terrible but it might be carried on the back on the Meta! Sell fast Collector Bois
