    Glad to see that the class is still the powerhouse that it was in the first game.

      Is it? It's not half as good, no double jump for traversal, no roll to avoid hits, no melee weapons to take care of the little annoyances and the weapon skills seem pretty nerfed. In DD1 you could easily solo with a magick archer, that would be considerably harder here.

      @@kylemcclary7434 In the sequel? It's tough. So many enemies have surprise leap attacks that might come at you from off screen and your carry weight makes it trickier since you'll need to have your own camping gear. Mystic spearhand could be worth a try since they have a good way to mitigate damage.

    All heal elixir fully replenishes total HP and stamina, in addition to removing debilitations......so use martyrs bolt and consume one.

    MS+Trickster (buffs for pawns and yourself while your simulacrum makes enemies attack one of their own) sounds fun for example, wonder what your thoughts on it

      Sadly as far as Trickster the Simulacrum disappears very fast when swapping weapons.

      Nice! Sagittate is great for it as well but have to be careful with the cast time because the Flare will disappear fast if not attacked quickly enough.

    I keep swapping back and forth from Magick Archer to Mystic Spearhand. MA was really fun but the playstyle can get a bit repetitive after a time. If the pawns were more aggressive I'd be totally for playing a total support magick archer but as it stands it's just frustration fuel lmao
    I'm just a bit torn if auguments such as Sagacity and Verve are worth it late game. It seems they are a flat increase of 30 to magick and strength respectively, assuming a Mystic Spearhand with the Lyndworm duospear (the best in the game) fully dwarven upgraded and dragonforged, it is 986/990 for str/mag, so a flat 30 is basically a 2.5% to 3% roughly increase, I'm sure if that is relevant. In numbers, Polarity provides a 5% increase to str during the day and mag during the night, and Lethality is a 5% total damage increase on weakspots. Given how impactful Stamina is, I'm not sure I can justify sacrificing Zeal, Endurance, Exaltation or Atheticism for Verve or Sagacity with the Mystic Spearhand for instance.

      For the Augments, indeed it doesn't seem like the increases are THAT much of a difference later.

      Endgame kinda nullifies it though. Lose all the health and can't really sleep at a inn or campfire to restore the health :(

      @@cRPGBro Somewhat, until you can farm up alheal elixirs and carry around 10 at all times and never need another curative again.
      In the endgame you gimp yourself to face a challenge. But when it is challenging, it is sooo fun.
      My favourite moment was when I tried to defeat the Drake at level 31. Took literally the whole evening, night and morning and the loss of two pawns and all my curatives to get it. Crazy fight. I think I only made it because I was a Thief

    Strength and magick increasing rings and augments are only good at really low levels. Once you get to early mid game, you will not be able to notice a difference. Stamina is the stat you want to put all your investment in.

    I didn't think I would, but I like archer the most so far. It just sucks most of the armor isn't for your typical male characters.

      This is partly why I'm really loving Warfarer. I realized that most of what I liked about Magic Archer is the regular attacks and frost arrow, so I just run that and swap in whatever thief/spearhand/sorcerer abilities I'm feeling.
      Sorcerer Flare + MA Frosthunt is cracked

      @@lronjack Yeah, I can hardly wait to get there. Early game I've been just using all the vocations. Finally decided on archer, so now I can start to take on the stronger enemies. Drakes still rock me.

      Fun fact, warfarer actually has stats almost identical to archer. I'm using warfarer w 4 archer skills rn so I can fashion dogma. Might get true warfare mod later.

    Melee combat is so fun, i couldn't played magick archer, felt boring actually.

      Regular archer is fun though. You actually have to aim. MA feels like a more tolerable mage. But without daggers to change it up.....lame

    Id love to see what you can come up with warfarer. Its bugging me the class doesnt fluidly allow skill swapping for combos and its whole pupose is washed away by pawn variety. Want to see some unique mesh up aside from op skill a spammed with b.

      Subtlety / Dominance / Exaltation / Avidity / Diligence / Thew (switch your least priority for gold/rc/oxcart/seeker coin when necessary).
