I platinumed the game a few days ago and here's the main tip I have for anybody who see's this: go for combos instead of just square or triangle spam. What I mean by combos is like go for a single strike (typically the strong triangle hits) into one of the command moves. For example, triangle strike into the low sweep, or the back-forward push move. Doing this with some of the higher tier skills literally deletes most enemies, my favorite combo by the end was a single triangle strike into the push move, followed by the triangle chase down skill you can unlock. That combo kills or nearly kills most enemies in the game, and going for combos after the eye poke focus move is always better than just the strong sweep. Hope this helps anyone struggling, you gotta treat it like an actual fighting game 👌🏿

The low blow id argue is like one of the best unlockable moves if not the best the only other move I think comes close is vertical strike that shit is busted if you can get two focus bars (I normally wait to the 3rd level personally but I think the first level is also a good time to get them try and get one of the 4k/5k upgrades then buy the next two on level 2)
Like you can combo a boss to the ground pick them up and still hit them more agterwards

Having also tried to do The Club with next to no deaths I can tell you that there's a shortcut you've unlocked that can get you to the boss faster. There's a door off to the right in the first big club room that takes you only a few rooms away from the boss. I'd also recommend getting the focus bar upgrades so you can do multiple strong sweeps.
Having at least 2 bars here will straight body the staff disciple, the 1st one that drops the pass, and sean. Not the 2 disciples right b4 him, that is some real test your might shit there
Using the shortcut on this level is a terrible idea imo.
You miss out on a lot of points and this level is probably the best level to get the 5k upgrades on.
Also I've completed the game with the secret ending you dont need to do strong sweep twice it's not that good.
No point in getting 2 bars until you the vertical strike move, that's the best focus move in the game.
I'd say if you want 2 focus bars do it on the first level so you can focus on the the 1200 point upgrade and the 5k upgrade.
Most important upgrades for dealing with bosses
@@TheScorpia12 they actually made those 2 normal disciple enemies cause apparently those 2 were the same tier as the one you fight for the keycard. Props to anyone who did deathless with those 2 monsters still in existence closest I got was age 24 for the club.
@@PlayWithThatBlackGuy you can take the left after fighting Ms. Kicker, take everyone out before the door in the second floor, backtrack, then use the shortcut. You still gonna miss XP... But, then again, one you Perma unlock the moves, you don't really need XP.

I've dreamt of this idea for years. Sifu seems like the perfect game to do it in....Give every boss a different kung fu style (crane, mantis , drunken , shaolin etc) and after beating them you learn that style and then can switch between styles mid fight like ghost of tsushima.

U unlocked a key card the first time you beat this level. In the dance floor room if you go to the right side after killing everyone there's a key card door that lets you skip all the way forward to the 3 trials. Makes the mission wayyyy easier and less tedious

Bro I did like 49 XP runs to make sure I had the youngest life and most permanent unlocks coming out the club. Today I beat every boss and made it to the sanctuary at 56. I wannna go back to the tower and try and get a little younger now that I’ve beaten it. Games kind of addicting.

@@HS97337 there is a way to kinda cheese her in a way, she does a certain pattern that is super easy to avoid by staying just close enough to her and then she does this huge movement that’s super easy to dodge and you can get your hits in that way. Her second phase is super easy to beat so.
@@alexyiggityyeet7108 Agreed second phase is really simple with the weapon grab or dodge if you don't have the skill. Just parry everything when she runs at you, avoid the big jump and get your hits in. Not a lot of variation int he moves

I can absolutely relate to Afro's sentiment about this game, cause I've literally never wanted to absolutely master a game as badly as I want to master Sifu. Also, while being actually drunk in a fight is probably a bad idea, a fighting style called the drunken master does indeed exist. You basically pretend to be drunk to trick your enemy and move unpredictably.
Yeah drunken fist is legitimately tested in boxing and, whole highly unreliable for most people, really gives you a leg up in fights. This game oddly enough makes me feel like when I finally got good at bloodbourne and could breeze through the game
Drunken Fist is used li as a unpredictable movement type of style and the drunken part is so when you get hit you don’t feel it and you can keep on pushing with no limits of pain, doe you’ll fell it when your not drunk no more
@@imp0054 no, the entire moveset is to appear drunk. You're actually sober and very focused, it takes a some training to be relaxed during a fight, which actually helps injuries when you inevitably get hit

Yo Afro my dude, just a combat tip:
You can chain the Strong Trip focus attack with the regular trip input for free extra damage + the "hold 'o' " input. This however does not work on bosses as they will just get up after the second trip chain.
It actually hold o after the strong focus trip and it will work
@@lorenzoooooo1773 you don't understand what I'm saying. Focus trip, to regular trip, to hold o. It's math, more moves equal more damage....I assume anyway. Except for bosses, if you chain focus trip to regular trip the boss immediately stands back up, preventing the hold o attack.
@@lorenzoooooo1773 (the opponent stays tripped for the full duration of focus trip to regular trip. This allows you to still follow up on hold o attack. Try it out, it's pretty cool)😎
After the Club who else just flew by in the Museum with flying colors , ( of course until the final boss) your skill is improved tenfold after struggling that hard

Bit of a tip for fighting the two long leg ladies at the bar, once you enter, if you throw your weapon straight at the girl at the counter you can run up and get an instant takedown, leaving you to fight the other one by herself

@BakedPotato I know right Yang is so good. Pretty much you're going to have to run back through the game and MAX out parry effectiveness. You wanna be parrying yang every chance you get. From there it's just trial and error. Dude is a beast
@@bakedpotato9639 i gotchu man , first phase he doesn’t have a lot of move sets two in particular u can easily dodge or block to punish , make sure to grab the weapon on the right for extra damage. Second phase , his low sweeps are dangerous , block the first move he does every time and dodge the rest so your stamina won’t run out . Then punish him with attacks . ( If you don’t already have it invest in strong sweep it’s gonna save your life .)

@@cal5750 Both imitates the 80s, both have unfair bullshit due to the devs being too lazy to make a legit challenging game. In fact, the age mechanic isnt all that different to FromSoft's soul mechanic where you lose half your health bar after dying, and it stays that way until your human again. Scratch that, its worse because you'll have lesser total hp the more you die.
And the bigger damage, whats the point if you have little health?

Helpful tips, maybe:
Maybe try looking at the combos in the menu.
Throw your enemies in your place when they try to surround you, basically trading position
Dodge while also using directional inputs and try that with OTGs (on the ground attacks, ie axe kicks)
Buy moves or abilities in menu or on death.

What worked for me on the Club level was to use that shrine to upgrade my weapon damage. I did that with the 3 shrines I found before the boss fight. That helped tremendously. But i highly recommend running thru Squats and Club a few times just to get XP to buy the really good moves. Also, taunt your enemies.

This game will force you to master it, and I love it.
That’s the most genius and insidious thing about this game; as you learn the levels and decide which deaths are acceptable and which aren’t, you find yourself rushing through the “easier’ encounters trying to get back to that boss/sub-boss and as a result of the rushing you end up dying in locations which you wouldn’t have under any other circumstances…so frustrating.
Some tips for the club:
1. If you run onto the dance floor and use a heavy attack on the woman and man by the left couch, you’d be able to immediately hit both of them and get takedowns.
2. If you perform a sweep on an enemy (down, up, strong - up down strong will reverse the sweep direction) and then the ground attack, you recover structure and become invincible during the animation.
3. The lady sub-boss on the dance can be killed easily if you sweep or use a focus attack and push or kick her down the stairs right behind you.
4. The ladies behind the bar, you can throw the bat (there’s a bottle in the room you can use, too) at one of them and get an instant takedown.
5. You can taunt enemies with d pad right, it increases your multiplier.
6. The palm attack used by the later sub-bosses has a delay which is marked by a whooshing noise.
7. The staff sub-boss basically uses the same string which she has the staff - try not to disarm her.
The Club is one of the hardest stages in this game because it requires you to do alot of weapon management, high and low dodging, as well as parrying. And going from the first level to this level is a huge difficulty jump

Afro definitely one the best CZcamsrs of all time in my opinion
Senju, two tips.
1) Go scouting through the club and check everything thoroughly, there are a bunch of shortcuts you can unlock to bypass tough fights, making subsequent clears MUCH easier.
2) Act with honor in the club - don't strike enemies who don't swing first, and approach the trials earnestly (pick the nice dialogue options). It can make the fights have less waves of enemies and make them MUCH easier.
I can imagine Afro in dbz, charging his new technique 'playyyyy....myyyyyyyy.....shiiiiiiiit!'
And thus every character who has ever appeared in the intro comes out to wreak havoc upon whoever has the misfortune of being the current antagonist.......or just drop it on frieza. Always a good choice
