Many are not using Electric rice cookers due to aluminium pot which is unhealthy. Here is the best option to cook in a healthy way. Use steel vessel preferably which is light weight. we can buy a light weight steel vessel that fits into our electrical cooker body. But initially cook under close supervision until you get used to the water measurements poured in the body vessel.

I am cooking in this way since more than 5 years and there is no problem with my rice cooker. Once the water in the cooker body is evaporated the cooker goes into warm mode or off mode. Please check your cooker whether auto warm mode or auto switch off is working or not. For the first time please monitor water in the cooker body while cooking in this method. Whether the water poured in the aluminium vessel is sufficient for cooking the rice or not

I tried in non stick. Coating may get damaged in the long run after usage.dont use this for non stick vessel.
