We (my friends and I) made up a completely new class called "the holomiter" that has a holloconverter, a hollolauncher and a hollopad as his kit. The converter changes nitra to hollomite, which is his passive, and then he uses the hollomite to power his tools. Weapons are the hollolauncher (rocket launcher) and the hollocracker (side arm revolver shotgun that fires fracturing hollomite crystals) and then his utility is the hollopad, a levitation pad that floats dwarves upwards. His additional tool is the holloscanner (let's him find hollomite) and his grenade is the hollonade which encases everything nearby in a layer of hollomite, kind of like a permanent freeze. We completely gaslit our other friend into believing the hollomiter was real, and even made a purple engineer that looked like a new class, and convinced him he'd be a sick hollomiter player so he downloaded the game

I think that sometimes the curse can reach beyond Driller. Recently I was playing with four friends and one was another person playing driller for the first time, and for context I was playing engineer (as I often do). He actually somehow didn't blow anyone up, thankfully. As we were heading for the droppod after a successful escort mission, I got the evil feeling that he was having too much fun whipping his flamethrower around. So after he says something like "burn in holy fire!" I just casually walk up to him a said "How about no?" and launched a hyperpropellent gernade right in his face.
Needless to say, but he went down.

Curse of the Fat Boy is also a thing, i once had an engi on my team who whole accidentally downed everyone except himself with his nuke, nearly lost the mission because of that

on a side remark, them's some really RED exploders. They definitely add to the menacing aura they give off when they rapidly fill your screen with RED as they skitter to you.
And to the rest of your team's credit, there were SO many exploders that mission; if only they all had grappling hooks to help them flee from exploding swarms of death.

I'm nearing level 2,000 in this game and often play with a squad that knows DRG inside out. We finish missions quickly and clinically with little drama, which can get a bit stale sometimes. I love watching your videos because it takes me back to a time where Hazard 5 was chaotic, messy and funny. I kinda miss that.
You should try modded hazards tbh, they can bring back that feeling of _”AAAAAAAAAAAAAA”_ that Haz 5 does

70 downs... ive had some rough missions but never any where there were 70 downs and you had None, still the driller carried.
You know, I do like watching this videos a lot, and seeing you and your friends slowly and painstakingly get better at the game, but I think at the very least that you should learn what exactly the perk system is, and specifically what each of the perks do. The majority of them are pretty bad and unhelpful.
"AxisKronos" another content creator on CZcams, has made an excellent video on the subject, where he goes through all the perks and tells you exactly how viable they are in Hazard 5. The video is called, "BEST PERKS FOR HAZARD 5 / DEEP ROCK GALACTIC", in all caps. I would also recommend his video for armor loadouts, he touches on the subject when he talks about Resupplier and Breathing Room.

Between the regular incompetence of the Scout, the stoner incompetence of the Driller, and all the other silliness this is indeed completely normal for haz5 and definitely won't make Management reconsider the whole radon gassing deal.
about 3 mins in and the tunnel diging does my friend also do but with any class doesnt matter engi dig tunnel driller dig tunnel and one time he made one as an engineer that was so long it took about 30 seconds or something to reach the end and he did it alone.

Ok so I have heard of the "driller tunnel" which is basically just a drillers cozy hole which upon entering you will be c4'd for intruding I think the weird hole he made at 3:51 is the beginning of this behavior in the new baby driller

Digging random tunnels is also a part of the Driller's Curse, Drillers just randomly dig trap tunnels as an instinct even before they get the ripper grenade, usually they blow up the target once it's deep enough or if they have rippers, they just flood the tunnel with these things which obliterates both teammates and enemies
Not gonna lie, Zoran's voice sounds like nameistaylor trying and failing to make a kermit impression
The caretake is the rare instance where the driller's curse is useful, drop a C4 on top of the caretaker to hit all the vents at the same time. Though dropping it on top of ur team mates is useful too, a bit of friendly fire builds character

I speak from experience when I say that the driller's curse can be contracted by just about any class with big AoE damage; this includes instances such as engie with his Fat Boy PGL, and Gunner with his leadburster and newly acquired Autocannon Mortar Rounds.
Long story short, Scout is never safe
You call it driller’s curse, I call it driller’s blessing.
