I have Scrivener on the iPad and Windows version. Syncing has been a frustrating process and I have lost scenes because of it. Now when I’m out of the house writing, I use Microsoft 365 on the iPad, save then upload it into scrivener desk top later because I love the way scenes and chapters can be rearranged on that software.

I find using pages to be the best way. If you’re an Apple user at least.
It’s built in, free, and because of iCloud the syncing is seamless.

i just came across your channel and i absolutely love your vibe 🥹 oh my goodness you have such a sweet presence on camera. but i also feel you on the wanting to write more but just...not lol. when writing isn't your job, finding the time and energy for it, despite how much you love it, can feel so daunting. also hello!? 400 words in 10 minutes in insane!

Aw thank you!! Exactly, especially when work picks up writing is one of the first things I let fall off… hoping to start prioritizing better but definitely a work in progress!

I have the same problem with playlists! I have one for my book Project Mutiny that gets me in the right mindset as soon as it hits play. But for my book June, I didn't have a playlist for all of draft one, and I'm only now starting to put one together for draft two. Playlists are both the best and worst thing for writing moods

I don’t know why they’re so hard!! I feel like that’s supposed to be one of the fun/easy parts but I have not been able to get it right yet for this one

I am going through similar things. I am constantly comparing myself to last year at this time when I got the first 2 chapters and a prologue done. Now I keep running into mental blocks where I don't know what I want to do with chapter 3 and beyond. It's hard as well because I know what is going to happen in the Climax (or end of the book... Haven't decided yet) and it's the journey there that I have to fill in.

That’s always the toughest-I feel like the middle scenes are my favorite to edit but the toughest to draft. Wishing you lots of luck and writing motivation ❤️

@@abbygeigerman thank you! You as well!
It’s hard because I know the outcome of the book. I don’t know if it’s the climax or a cliffhanger ending but I will decide that later. It’s the getting there that I don’t know about yet haha

It may just be the story or where you are in the story. Maybe try working on something new and different. Especially working on something that is just for fun and you aren't planning to publish might help lessen the pressure you're putting on itself. That usually helps me get through a writing lull.

      That’s a good idea-to be honest I don’t remember the last time I worked on something I wasn’t hoping to publish 😬
