This is exactly how I play this tank and is how this tank should be played. If you want to use the 76mm then just use the easy eight.

Finally getting a redemption in my favorite tank! That turret is quite amazing
I had to dig in to some premium rounds, but I did manage to best an O-NI in my Jumbo Sherman running the derp gun.
A couple premium rounds into the ammo rack and that was it.
O-NI thought it had my side and had me pinned against a steep hill, but I reversed to its side and it became a "ring around the rosy" in reverse.
Bruh you plays the sherman jumbo! my favorite sherman tank! got 2 marks on it , i also use the armored turret and got that fast firing gun, not the derp, so not so fast as a normal sherman but its enough, its fun face kv 2 and O-i and than farming dmg on them, what you just did against the kv and 3 other tanks was satisfying!, its a god tank against lower tiers:D
this tank used to be my favourite till the HE nerf, glad to see some people still have fun in it

Awesome tank. Me and my friend won a 2v6 with one of these and an 85. Had to win two in a row for a mission and we'd been trying all night.
This video deserves a "behind the scene" addition: QB's 'battlecries' were hilarious during that engagement; on Twitch, live. ;)
I recall just using the worse 75mm with this turret for my first Pool's medal years ago
A solid favorite of mine back when I played. I've soloed higher tier heavies in this tenacious little medium in CQB, and carried many a game while top tier - and a few times while bottom tier! My third highest base xp game was in this tank against T8s on Himmelsdorf, About six years ago, about 1750 base xp IIRC. This was before the HE rework so the 105mm howitzer was a potent threat against any target. I all but soloed some poor King Tiger, then got to hunt thin skinned vehicles and/or catch harder targets from vulnerable angles. Came out with about 5k damage...

I love this tank, I played this tank sooooo much going up to the T29 back in the day when you could go Jumbo for the E5 and Easy8 for the M48 patton. Good times sir quacks a lot
Going to the T29 from the Jumbo is such a pain cuz you don't have the 90mm unlock unlike from the M6.
Man I remember loving the Jumbo! Used to love to duel Easy 8s and laugh as they tried to pen my armor.
The Sherman Jumbo was the featured tank in which I watched my first-ever QB video ... I think the video title was "Veni, Vidi, Vici" and it was from nearly 9 years ago all the way back in 2015! I have been watching QB videos ever since!

The M4A3E2 was my go to tank in CW being basically a heavy with good mobility and for its tier an invulnerable turret.

I also use the stock turret on the tank, but I use the 76 mm for the E2. I used to LOVE the derp, but the HE nerfs ruined that gun for me. However, I'd say I love the 76 mm even more now, because with that trollish armor.. you can bully tier 8s around if you know how to use it well. There have been several times where I'm on Pearl River, Ruinberg, or Himmelsdorf and the tier 8 lights or meds just bounce while I'm hugging their front or part of their sides. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, the 76 mm makes it much more satisfying.

What a coincidence! I just put my spare qb commander on this tank! I really love it, especially when i'm playing against tier 5 to tier 6 ht and I just use my armor and gun depression to bounce the enemies off my hull and turret and let my other teammates kill them. Damn, I just made the right decision afterall.
I had to explain this one myself, some player messaged me after the game. Speaking of how badly, I played?? I said dude, I play for fun no more. I don't care, win or lose. 0 Damage doesn't even matter.

first tank (and only so far) that i have 3 marked. i first tank i ever Aced and still use with ONLY the 105mm derp.
the Derp is king on this vehicle. the stock turret is BASED af and it can brawl againts ANY Tier 6 tank without much issue.

This tank was how I got my T29. 105mm HE meant that you can still do some damage to tier 8s when you do play this like a heavy tank
When Icthink about how often Artillery got me in close combat no matter hpw good I tried to dodge shells the VK 30.01 P made the right decision not going after the SU-8

“Unconventional” this is how I’ve played all 1.1k games in my jumbo. Racking up Aces along the way. The HE nerf almost ruined my baby girl
They should make the top turret have 152mm armor like the stock turret. The Jumbo would still be inferior to the M6.
No. E8 turret is better. With a 76mm its a far better seal clubber. You still have a 6 inch mantlet that covers most of the turret, good gun stabilization, high DPM, good view range. And the 105 isnt that great at tier VI anyway.
@@Paciat The 105 is perfectly doable, the E8 doesn't have the armor making it great at sniping but useless when flanked.
@@animalyze7120 Lol, 152mm mantlet +76mm turret is not having armor. 😄0,53 accuracy is perfectly doable. 😆And I assume you think you know what you are talking about. 🤣
@@Paciat The top turret currently has worse armor (38-63mm outside mantlet) than the stock turret (152mm all around, including cupola). I'm simply suggesting combining the armor of the stock turret with the soft stats (including view range) and gun compatibility of the top turret.
@@JWQweqOPDH And Im simply suggesting you try the 2nd turret and the top 76mm. You would know then how hard it is for the enemy to shoot that turret sides if you are constantly moving. Witch you cant do with a 105. And you would get a tank that dosnt have to hide in a ditch, similar in play style to the best tier VI med in game - T-34/85M.
And if you want a super turret with a 105mm get yourself a T29.

the top turret still have good armor on the front. mantelet is still 152mm. if you take a look you just have a litle weak point on the side of the mantelet most of the time it won't meke difference. real downside is you have to face your opponent cause the side is weak
QB its great watching you and playing wit again after many years…but we need IS7 gameplay

I still remember this tank and the video made by The Mighty Jingles how much fun it was when I started wot. I regret to say that as much as I would like another QB in my tank, I have decided not to enter the game until WG adds the option to play with bots (even in the form of a monthly subscription).

I loved this tank with the same setup of stock turret+105, 'twas really a fun tank but then WG ruined HE shells...now it just sits on my garage as a remembrance of the good ol' days.

Before this became a collectors vehicle, I played this tank after I unlocked it and it was a lot of fun how no one was able to pen my turret, and I can angle my hull to bounce shells. I did eventually sell it and put back my crew in the M4A1
