Well, someone lied to you.
It's a stage of deep sleep, and can take nearly 2hrs to reach.
While it does increase heart rate, breathing, etc, it's not easy to be woken out of.
It's why people have to shake you or call your name multiple times or even put an alarm right by your face.
Waking up from REM sleep is hard also, because your brain takes time to come back out of it.
Which is why dreams blend into reality, and the bomb going off in your dreams that you spent 5mins trying to diffuse-- is actually your alarm.
When we're awoken from our REM sleep we can feel disoriented, and some of us have a slow body-with-brain reaction-- where we're awake, but our body is still frozen in REM; during REM our bodies freeze up, this is to naturally help us not sleepwalk; however when we're awake and our bodies are still frozen, we start to panic-- that's what we call sleep paralysis.

the way the cats aren't stressed at all, they are just standing, enjoying and sleeping, their owner takes care of them, it's obvious :)

But her cat (Tteoksoon) is a specific breed; called Ragdoll cats! Ragdoll cats are very easy going and are very calm cats. They could care where they're pet or pat, they just like the attention or don't mind it.
Mainecoon cats are the same way; but they're the dogs of the cat world. My cats love their bellies being rubbed.
But yes! Trust and respect is crucial to have a good relationship with your cat.

You can tell these cats have a wonderful life because they trust her, even in very intense sleeping positions. This is because when cats go into their “ unique sleeping” positions, they are more vulnerable this way. So they deeply trust her and love her.
Depends on the breed ragdolls are bred to be so trusting to the point it’s detrimental to their survival that’s why most of them die the first two years because they are made solely as an indoor cat my mum has one and he flops in your arms like a baby and lays in his back like that pretty much and at that looks like a ragdoll it’s the perfect breed for this

I mean it's a ragdoll breed so they'll allow pretty much anything if you have a calm one. She seems to have a calm ragdoll cat so they'll allow you treating them like a fragile plush. I also have one they go limp (besides the head-) once you pick them up and they're mostly very relaxed cat breeds
@@fallenangel_6067 We have a ragdoll and she would have gone absolutely ballistic if we did this to her when she was younger. Even now, she’s 15 and I don’t think she would tolerate it lol. We did not get a calm one haha. We did have a half ragdoll half Siamese who was actually very calm though, and was everything a purebred ragdoll is expected to be. He might have put up with it.
Or maybe the kitty just likes being pampered, which can you really blame them?

It's super impressive how relaxed these cats are! Usually cats tend to dislike sleeping on their backs unless they really trust their owner. They also usually don't like having their paws touched. Despite that, these seem like super happy kitties

Always touch the toe beans when they are Kittens, even pressing the beans to release the claws. Makes it easier to clip nails. My kitten, now cat, loves sleeping on her back

@@N0R1. Manx cats and muchkins especially too. They’e bred for cuteness and not the ability to actually live. Munchkins can’t even jump and have joint issues, scottish folds have terrible ear problems, and manx cats have spine issues. Thanks to breeders, a lot of “cute” cat breeds sre sctually suffering.

@@LL-tr5et No. Most animals feel threatened when their stomach is exposed or touched, because in the wild that's a deadly situation. That, or they perceive the touch as play time, and bite or scratch to play. There are some cats who like or aren't bothered by belly rubs, but they're uncommon.
Personally my cat accepts belly rubs, but doesn't seem to enjoy them.
My cats let me pet their tummy, its sooo cuuutee i snuggle with them while i pet the tummies and they are soo comfy and cute aAAAAAA

The more I watch, the less I look at the captions. The voice, the hand motions and the cuteness of these cat videos are so calming. I use ASMR as a sleep aid but today just Bear Soongnyoong's voice was enough to help me drift into a cat coma.
