Love how you break things down and make it simple to see and follow. Thanks for your hard work and dedication.
Thank you for watching and appreciating!
That first boss wiped me 30 times and some, with your video I defeated it naked……..parry is my new go to…..
It's stupid how fun and simple it can be!
Could've just bought the fire weapon buffs from the merchant right next to the whisper lol. It melts the boss who is weak to fire
@@l3wdlemon708 I would have never known this so thank you….
i somehow did it first try with having insane lags at 20 fps i rly dont know how xD
I love when people that played a lot of soulslike games explain stuff. "Look at how forgiving it is, you have 3 frames to press parry!"
This parry is rather forgiving :D!
This is my first souls type game. So this video is just brilliant. ty so much sir.
Got your back!
Buy Elden Ring.... What the.. how did you skip that game and go directly to this? Aww man
How can I tell which attacks can be parried and which cannot be parried?
I was struggling for the boss for the last two days and your breakdown with the "white haze" just came in so clutch. I looked like one of those Sekiro parry Gods and beat him on my 3rd attempt today LOL! You're goated.
Tnx for info... will check out this! :)
You can't parry some attacks and it's highly annoying how they aren't telegraphed at all.
More bosses/enemy parrying technique videos would be AWESOME!! Thanks for this one. I suck at games, so it took me 20 times, but I was confident I could beat him with this video. It made the experience fun instead of frustrating.
The annoying thing is being slightly out of range of parrying it but since it locks you into an animation the attack still gets you
great video man, gz
so if I understood correctly as soon as we see the white haze we can start to parry?
Im still trying to figure that out
I needed this
okay, now i'm gonna check if u did that with everyboss, because it's the coolest way to teach and show what u can miss in the fire of the action :o
I struggled it the first time and just chipped him away until I beat him. Now I can parry. Thank you!
Absolute legend. I died so many times. Watched this and he's mincemeat first try. Legend! Thankyou!
Awsome doing a play by play and you broke it down exactly as people would want it to be PARRY PERFECTION 🗡🗡🗡🗡⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔️
Parry is quite tricky to explain without frame by frame
Parrying small foes is much harder coz they usually have a lot quicker attacks. That said, parrying in NRFTW is way more forgiving compared to a Souls game
Parrying small foes is also not worth it (My opinion) only do it for bosses
This game is incredible already!
Game improved 100% after this video, parry is essencial and I didn't payed attention to this!
Everytime im playing a game I can always count on p4wny to be a guiding light in stormy seas... parrying is kicking my butt in this game but this will help
100% mate - Parrying is so satisfying in the game :)
I used a piece of this video in my lastest No Rest for the wicked video @@P4wnyhof if it's an issue let me know and I'll remove it...
@@P4wnyhof I did a retelling of me watching this video to learn... a skit basically
oh wow i'm in a couple of hours in and i completely forgot to parry lol
It is not mandatory in NO rest for the wicked especially with rune attacks
excellent vid
Thanks Sir!
Thx you
can we parry all the attacks the boss do? or is there an unblockables attack? and does different weapons we use have different timing in parrying?
do weapons have wildly different timers?
This video works.
"so this is how early we started" literally have 3 frames to get the parry right. With my game doing 60 frames per second.
I was getting creamed by this boss. After watching this video for about 3 mins, I faced it again and humiliated him. Parried every attack and destroyed him in less than 30 seconds.
My man! Well done
How can this 8 frame paries considered balanced
Honestly it is quite forgiving but still harsh :) Not every parry mechanic gotta be brutal
Need this for the second Boss… Pls 😅
I just beat the second boss (true defeat, not the first time you encounter where he runs away) and man I wish I knew how to parry 😭😅😂
How do you parry with two hander?
parry is actually hard for me on this game lol
So every enemy has a white slash animation?
i still dont rly get te parry lol xD
you should just right START/STOP of the parry window also xD sow e know whne we could ahd start and when we would had been to late
can I also parry attacks from enemies with HUGE weapons with my one hand mace or sword?
Size of weapon does not matter
@@P4wnyhof thank you
Idk wtf your doing, but im on normal and parrying when the white happens doesnt work. The annoying boss. If i get quick its easy af, but if i use a two hand sword i was at 20% parry. Now i watched your video and im at 0% parry.
I'm not new to souls, I've played several but I have to say that it's not my favorite genre due to the many choices that from has chosen to make: enemies that respawn, the Perry button that has the function of the hope button etc etc.
no rest for the wicked is inspired by souls for the combat difficulty and a few other mechanics, but for my taste it is simply much more enjoyable.
the only game that I liked so much from from, and which is also one of my favorite games, is sekiro
the combat has nothing to do with other from software games as far as I'm concerned
Are jump-hits parryable? Actually is every melee-hit in the game parryable?
Yes the jump hits can be parried - But they are hard to time because of visibility - Highly reocmmend parrying "easy" telegraphs
I parry but I don't know what to do AFTER it... Like what action do I take?
Nuke him with all you got while on the ground
@@P4wnyhof k ill do that lol
So this is like Dark Souls, Fable and [Insert ARPG Here]
Do this on the Echo Knight? 😂
Echo Knight has some very easy telegraphed attacks - Like his side swing and forwarded dashes!
1st try, with the fireball staff... dodge his jump, strike 2-3 times to charge the staff, fireball... repeat... 1.5 min fight
did try to parry in a different Realm on him, not my cup of tea :)
Parry is absolute AN OPTION - Not a must :)
Can anyone help me beat the nameless puppet in lies of p. Im on PlayStation I can set up a share play, I can’t beat this second phase to save my life
surprised at how many people struggled with this boss. I guess there are a lot of non-soulsborne players being pulled in by this game
Exactly my man - These kind of games attract all kind of gamers :)
So they already patched some stuff some of the major complaints the game is even more fun now! I suck at parry!
Yes the patches are rolling quite heavy and its fine :)!
Yeaaaa parrying still isn't doing it for me lol... Parrying on other souls like games are a bit easier
And if for some reason (like awful performance on any PC) you can't parry 100% of attacks - refund this mess of game.
There is only one playstyle. Parrying.
You miss one? Stunlock!
You want to block? Any attack will drain all your stam and stunlock you.
You want to trade HP? Stunlock!
Maybe range build? You need to parry to gain energy to shoot. So.. stunlock!
If you can't consistently hit 200ms inputs - this game is not for you.
I've been doing well with dodge/hit so far. :)
Shield next? I find the timing of it very off putting for some reason.
