Welcome to the latest and most detailed sewing video tutorial on the #RoseCafeBustierDress pattern. The pattern has been fully reworked. It has different cup sizes now, and the option to insert underwires and an underwire chart, all to help you achieve the perfect fit.
I am sharing an alternative method of sewing the cups in here, that takes a little bit more of accuracy, but will give you an even neater and more polished result.
This particular design is a lightweight dress that doesn't include boning. However, if you wish to create a bustier top or a dress with boning, underwires, and handmade foam cups, or even create a transparent corset, you can use this same pattern and follow along with my other tutorials on this channel, see the Rose Cafe playlist.

Дария, I am using this pattern for practicing to sew a corset, hopefully I will get one day to a perfect one. My question is that what if I do not want any stitches to be seen on the front side of the corset, how do I make sure the lining is secured, the wires are fit etc? Also, if I need to put a foam inside the cups how do I sew them in? Thank you! The tutorials and the patterns are excellent! I just need a bit of advice and practice :)

I’m so excited to make this! If I wanted to raise the height of the cups to get more coverage, should I raise it from the 2 lower cups or the upper cup only? I love how you edit your videos by the way! 🙌🏼💙

Hi there! I love this pattern. Is there a way to make the corset with a lace up back instead of a zipper?
Yes, of course! Just trim off the back piece on the center of how much you need for the lacing to be between two sides :)

@DariaDressmaking does the pattern you are using have a size as high as XL (Size 16) or rather for the cups can match C cup?

Hi darling!! I have purchased your pattern and I am excited to get started! I want to use a cotton lace fabric and line it in nude. Can I skip the interfacing ? I am afraid you are gonna be able to see the white color and loose the nude illusion.
Hi! I would treat the lace and the nude lining as a one layer: interface the nude fabric and stitch the lace along the contour of each peace + add one more lining layer to hide all the seams.

So, I brought the pattern a few days ago. Its difficult to understand and ALSO... a bunch of then when I try to open show "ERROR" Its so frustrating. I will keep trying and I hope I dont lose my fabric that was a bit expensive.

Hi there! Im on the final bit of making this dress (attaching the cups to the dress) but ive come across a difficulty. I pinned the centre of the cups in the right position, and the ends of the cups in the right position too. However from the centre of the cups to the inner end the fabric of the cup seems to be more than the fabric on the bodice, and im not sure how to sew it together 😭 the fabric of the cups is a bit wavy and i cant get it to stay straight so i can match it to the bodice
I measured the underbust circumference of the cups and it's 11 inches whereas the underbust circumference of the dress is 9 and 6/8ths inches.
It looks like the cup was stretched out a bit. If you measured the edges of the cup, not where the seam should be - it isn't right as well, as cup's edge will be always bigger because it is round. ( Hope that made sense 😀).
So I suggest just to shrink the cup, so it is better to baste it in with waves, and then shrink it back well with steam and even with water spray on that section. But! It will only work well, if the fabric is good in shrinkage. If it is stiff, synthetic fabric - it won't work. Then it us better to unpick the cup, decrease the height of the upper piece on top, so the centers remain the same.

And I forgot to mention that you should steam it over something round and soft, take a padded bra or a dress form, for example.

This dress is beautiful, but why this bustier completely doesn't support my breasts? What I did wrong? 😢 I usually were size S, I did it in size S and it looks horrible.. maybe it is just for small breasts?
Hello! Which version of the pattern you have made? If the first ever with the sizing S, M, L... - then yes, it doesn't support. But the latest version with underwires - is much better as you can see and no bra needed. I assume you have made a version with no cup options. Which cup size you have? If bigger than E, consider adding foam.

Hello! No, it is definitely isn't short. I believe you have swapped the lower cup pieces somehow. Check if you assembled the lower cup right.
