After watching your Brave 6 plus review I was hoping you would compare these two cameras. To do it the next day.....awesome. EIS on the Brave 6 plus seems to do a better job not being choppy while turning.
brave 6 plus shows true color ..just look at his burgundy top .. at 9:02 you can see clarity on writing on head stone and the tulips . at 9:30 the detail and clarity and detail on the hedging , i will be buying the brave 6 plus , night time is so much cleaner and clear a true picture if a little dark thank you for making my mind up .

The customer support for this company is top tier. My EK70000 Pro was missing a single point. Instead replacing just that, they sent me EVERYTHING. Stuff that didnt originally come my camera.

I bought the V50X primarily because it was on sale for 85 US, and also because the Brave 6 plus will not be available until at least April. My understanding is that most of the bugs such as poor audio and audio sync issues have been worked out in the v50X with the latest firmware. Should be arriving today. I want it primarily for motovlogging . I also ordered the external mic. The voice command on the brave 6 plus would have been nice, but I can work around that with the wireless remote. Besides, at that price point, I can always upgrade to a brave 6 plus or even a gopro or DJI when they go on sale.
Hi, did you try the v50x for motovlogging? If so how did it work out?
I own v50x great camera btw, but if I had to buy a cam today I d choose brave 6 because: + quality lens (less flare), + more goproish color profile, + less noise, +better details in shadows, + front screen. overall it seemed to me like a finetuned version of v50x, together with plethora of accessories & way lower cost it is definitely a gopro & sjcam killer.
Second review I just watched from you!! So informative, real side by side comparison, oh and that accent...ha ha!! I'm actually gonna be right back because I'm going to buy the Brave 6!!

1080p on V50X is totally unusable. 1080p on Brave 6 looks great like in the 4K mode

Good comparison video- interesting I liked the audio from the v50x better in front of the camera, and the Brave 6's audio from behind- I imagine the Brave is more sensitive. V50X was a good bit warmer in the color. Seems like the Brave is better for post production work... makes sense.

Constructive criticism, Nobody wants to see 1080p at 30fps. Test this at 1080p 60fps with EIS on.. You'll probably get alot more attention from motorbike vloggers that don't want to use up battery and memory card to quickly and would trade 4k choppy 30fps for smoother less data and battery intensive 1080p 60fps with EIS on.

Aha, so you are going to mount your 700 dollars on your bike? Or are you going to mount the V50x for 100 dollars? It´s simply, the V50x is my choice... Smartphone is expensive to risk it filming dangerous activities.... You know what i mean?? Use your V50X and get a good smartphone and leave it in your pocket or use it on safe situations.,

The only thing i have against the Brave 6 Plus is the obvious purple-ish hue in all the footage
I agree,the v50x looks more better in color to me than the brave 6.
Just ordered V50X from Aliexpress for 89USD with external Mic. With Cupons it came down to 79USD. I like the reviews! But you should include Firmware Infos, because I heard that V50X improves with 20191101 v1.0. Still looking for a download repository for firmware versions and samples. Samples on CZcams download as VP9 and so, do not directly originate from those cameras. Not clear if this recoding changes anything.
I'm also in Canada and it seems that Brave 6 Plus is hard to find in stock online now.

Hey, thanks for the great review. Just wanted to ask where did u mount the camera on the bike during the video? I'm wondering if the EIS will work good enough if I mount it on handlebar of a city bike.
I was holding the cameras in my hand while on the bike. There isn't enough space on my handlebar to mount both cameras there to film simultaneously
I prefer the Brave6+ in the dark - the picture is stable and the lighting looks natural. If I wanted to boost the exposure, I could do it in post.
What about the battery life between them? Which one last longer?

About the only significant thing I didn’t like about the Brave 6 Plus was the color balance. Is there any way to make adjustments in the camera, like a white balance setting/calibration?

You should have picked the Akaso V50 Pro to test again the Brace 6 Plus. I tested the Akaso V50 Pro and found it to be the best for audio and video. Of course this is only my testing. The V50 Pro also comes with an external mic, although I found the audio from the camera good without the mic. I love your video and you did another awesome review. You might want to get the Akaso V50 Pro and give it a try too, you might be surprised. I know I was.
I still have the v50 Pro. I'm gonna see if there is a new firmware for it and I may make a video
@@RedskullPro awesome. Out of the cheep $100 and below action cameras that I tested, the Akaso V50 Pro is the one I am going to keep as my personal camera. I'll be giving the others away eventually but I'll be keeping the Akaso. Now it's no GoPro but for the money, it's a pretty nice camera. Thank you again for the awesome content.

The v50x seemed a lil better on the colors. But the fisheye distortion on it made me wanna not like it so much esp in the 1080p samples near the pole. I guess the brave has newer crop and stabilise firmware which it is benefitting from.

Hi. On the brave 6 plus there is a little sound. Lika a cricket. I noticed this because i have it and also i notice in the lowest video quality that sound isnt anymore. This sound persist in high quality. Doyou know how to fix it.

I’m going with the V50x ,for my R/C Boats any thoughts ,I use the Apeman A80 but find on play back it goes into slow Morison mode not sure why any ideas

I am guessing you can change the color balance on the brave 6 to be a bit warmer but it does have sharper video even at nighttime ... probably a good beginner or backup/second angle camera for a youtuber

Would you mind taking down Sharpness to 0 before doing camera test comparisons? Brave 6 plus looks a bit digitally sharpened in my opinion so would be a good idea to compare the native footage before sharpening being added in-camera. U can always do that in post. Thanks again for these great tests!
I try to use all cameras on Auto mode... because this is how most users will use these cameras...

Nice review. It would be nice if we could see footage with the color profiles. It seems that this camera is a v50x to a new body. Instead of giving us a firmware update they sell the akaso v50x as a new camera. Now that the price of cameras like DJI and Gopro have dropped they worth buying. Akaso must change their tactic and keep giving firmware updates instead of selling many "new" mediocre cameras.
@@seaman5705 Not really. Akaso v50x costs 99$ on amazon and proSE 154.99$. Dji can now be found around 250. The quality is much better and dji keeps improving the camera. So for me its not only 3X quality but also better investment for the future. Unless you can find an akaso @70$ max. Also you must be lucky and get a v50x model where audio is not out of sync.

I bought the Akaso V50X based entirely upon your initial review. Not the best decision though...The audio is simply apalling, and I use it much less than I had intended..Just goes to show that you should check more reviews before you buy something :). The external mic is very hard to get hold of.

Hi Alex, I brought my v50x after your recomedation and using on my motobike since, very happy with it. Now you com up with that video man , I'm getting crazy but to be honest with you i bought my v50x for 60£ is it worth to pay now double price for the brave, no the differences is not tvat big which makes you say wow , so thank you very much but i will still keep my v50x. Waiting for next review, regards Roman.

I know they have a new Brave camera coming...maybe this was discontinued...
I contacted Akaso just the other day. They tell me the Brave 6 plus should be available in April or soon after. Also, from what I understand the poor audio and sync problems of the V50X have been resolved with the newer versions. And older versions can get the firmware upgrades. Also, apparently, latest firmware upgrades camera to 20 Megapixel Resolution
What's the difference between Brave 6 and Brave 6 plus?
The sound lag is bad and picture isn't great. Is the brave 4 better than v50x?

Hey, I made that myself from a bunch of parts... A microphone stand, a couple of quarter inch screws, and two phone holders mounted sideways :)

If I come across any I will for sure. For now I recommend getting a Lg G7 :) They are around $120 on Amazon and Ebay
