I am old school, I prefer the original, a lot more character.
The old one is covered with panther hulls and other tank parts. I used to have the big model back in the 80's.
When the rebooted version of BSG happened, I was totally opposed to it, thought that the original was unimpeachable and perfect. Then I actually watched the RDM version, and I have to say that the reimagined Battlestar was such a brilliant exploration of what it means to be human and how we can let our social constructs define ourselves.
Eaglemoss models? I have those too. They look really nice on my shelves next to Peggy, Valk and the Cylon War Galactica.
Have to go with the newer one the articulated flight pods were somthing . Just had to over look the re used footage of the landings all the time guess that was a tribute to the older shows re usage too. Re watching is always good you find thing you missed before and some times you see things from a different point of view.
Whenever I see the 1978 Battlestar flying towards the camera I think of where Baltar is like "Burn Galactica, you're finished Adama!" and Pegasus is flying right at him in the window. "Thats impossible!" "NO, IT IS A BATTLESTAR!" "TURN YOU FOOL! HE'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!!!!"
You need the new Pegasus and the new Valkyrie as well. I have them on my shelf and they are indeed very shiny!
Remake Galactica is cooler…and I am a fan of the original.
As a 'fan' of Galactica the Ron Moore 're-made' Galactica, TOTALLY BLOWS.
@daniel385 That's because, all of you 'fans' of the Ronald Moore 'remake' are really just "Terminator II: Judgment Day" fan boys.
@@WalterDWormack214 🤣The Sarah Connor Chronicles was the superior Terminator experience, you know.
I'm not sure which design I prefer but I'm leaning towards the old one.
as fun as the TOS Galactica is, I have to go with the 2003 Battlestar
In the shows, I prefer the newer one's look. But for some reason, the old style model looks better here IMO.
