i wanted to give it a try again but one issue is coming up every time. I have one guide track and Left right unisono voxes that I want to allign. But only the left one is getting effected. So strange. I think I'm doing it right. ARA mode, plugin on every track, capture both etc...any tips? The right track is shown in the plugin when selected but its not getting the yellow corrected color that indicates the process...thanks
When you say a Left and Right, do you mean they are separate tracks or a stereo track? VocAlign will only effect one side of a stereo track, not both separately, so you’d need to have them on separate individual mono tracks. Does that help?
PLEASE BE ADVISED: After a little bit of research, I discovered that you must run Logic in Rosetta on Silicon Macs in order for the ARA version to run properly.
Yes! So the "Sidechain" showing up is meaning that you are using the "realtime audiosuite" version instead of the ARA version. Does switching it to Rosetta mode work for you? from my research so far, Syncro Arts doesn't seem to have Project 5 ARA version in Apple Silicon native compatible yet, but I could be missing something. Which makes sense that it would work properly in Rosetta mode. Annoying, but hopefully they will fix it soon. @@ANAKCreates tahnk you for asking, appreciated! So, I run old Mac Pro Tower 2012, Catalina 10.15.5 and Logic pro x 10.6.0 The instalation process is going well but after its install I can see it in driver or anywhere else.
@@florin1290 Hmm very strange. Try re-downloading the installer and doing it again, make sure you select all the different formats that it will install (just to be safe) and then re-load logic after the install as well. You may need to refresh the plugins list as well (using the plugin manager). That version of the logic and Mac OS should work tho, so it's not an incompatibility issue.
In logic when I had them all selected, it did add it to everyone of the ones I had selected in one go. But yes, I add them to every track that I want to dub and alighn, then within once instance of the plugin you can view the different tracks by clicking the name on the VA timeline itself and you'll see the list of the other tracks that you can see. Hope that helps!
One thing to try out is see if running logic in Rosetta mode helps this? I know that there's some strangeness with VocAlign and Apple Silicon Native in Logic, it seems very strange, but see if that help??
First off, Thank you for making this video! I'm curious if anyone else is running into this issue.... I have my vocal comps bounced in place (so everything shows up in one merged region). Using vocalign as the only plugin on the lead (and stacked) tracks, I capture guides and dubs. Immediately after, the captured tracks are muted. They aren't muted in the sense that the regions are grayed out. They are muted as in - they look normal - but produce no sound. Anyone else having issues? Using Vocalign Project 5 ARA with Logic Pro X 10.7.2

Have you tried taking the plugin off, restarting logic and then doing it again? Seems like they are getting into VAP but VAP isn't actually allowing them to come out again, strange. If I think of anything else or find any answers to this I will be sure to let you know!

How to get the tracks into the Logic interface do you mean? Or into VA5? Just by putting the plugin on the tarck with the ARA technology it will be in the plugin automatically, that's why there's no other steps to really show on that workflow! It's quite convenient actually! As for bouncing, I just turn off all plguins on the track after VA, then select your tracks you'd like to bounce and do "Bounce Tracks In Place" and they will each bounce and insert next to the original tracks, then you have to copy the other inserts over from the original tracks (not VA, but the other inserts you may have on there) and then either delete or turn off and hide the original VA tracks. It all depends on your workflow, some people don't really bounce them out and just leave them, but that's how I would do it myself! I hope that helps a little bit further!! Working on doing more Logic tutorials in the future over on my website as well!

@@jkraus243 Yes, this is one of the reasons I personally like the Pro Tools workflow better because you are absolutely correct, and is a bit of a pain. Unfortunately there is no way to do the same workflow like this in Logic with the Non-ARA method (which is realtime capture and still requires bouncing in the same way. I don't have a good workaround for this in logic to share yet unfortunately!

This Vocalign 5 sucks ass! Screwed up my Mac, even with Rosetta opening it.. this plug in cost me $149 with no return just to screw up my beautiful Mac and kill my creative flow for the day! Logic stock aligning leaves clicks & pops now this bs plug in won’t work for every Mac, especially mine. Major bullshit for creators trying to get a professional sound. GRRRR then it wouldn’t let me uninstall it, acted like a virus program that overloaded a 64GB Mac Studio then refused to go away! I was so excited to get it until it glitched me to pissy frustration-Capture button vanished after going through Hell to get it to appear..why sell something like this with a no money back guarantee? Cause it doesn’t work half the time. It’s challenging enough to create let alone have to they’re the dice hoping it works. As if I had $149 to burn. This is why I don’t buy plug ins
Sorry to hear you had such crap luck with it!! I have been using it for years, and have used almosnt all the plugins those guys make and have never had it that bad. I know there are some wierd workarounds sometimes, but once i've figured them out it's great. Would love to see if there's a way to fix it, what MacOS are you running/version of logic? and are you running VocAlign Project 5 or which version of VA??

You said to put va5 on every track but you didn't show it. Did you put va5 on every dub track? Or just the one you showed?

@@ANAKCreates I figured it out. You can’t put an ARA plug-in at the bottom of your chain, it has to be your first insert.
