It's hard to beat the original... It has always been a masterpiece and one of the Robbie's finest songs.
But. He and his team have done a great job with a new version.
We always know that The Road To Mandalay is a very sad song and finally its music fits to the lyrics so well.
Now the song has even more nostalgic note than before.
And yes, the orchestral part since 3:10 is so wonderful addition... You want to listen it over and over...

As an 18 year old who has been a fan for only a few years back,, i tell you i was ECSTATIC when i saw the release of this album,, i cried a for a bit when i was a day late for the album's preorder was launched and the set i wanted was out of stock HAHAH guess we know who's gonna be streaming the re-released songs for weeks now :'))
That happened to me too, but the next day I checked back & the one I wanted was available so I was able to order it. (😊
