- I've always wanted to build a blue guitar. This solid bookmatched flamed maple surely was inviting for some serious staining. The neck is made from solid cherry topped with a walnut fingerboard.

I'm kind of surprised that cherry works as a neck wood, but I guess the walnut fingerboard would add some strength. Nice work!!
I love working with cherry, it works great for guitar necks. Even without the walnut fingerboard I wouldn't worry about stability. It's also incredibly smooth to the touch which is nice if you like playing fast.
What a beauty. If I had the tools and skills to build guitars, I probably wouldn't stop making one 😅
Although I didn't really get the idea behind routing out such a huge chunk of this beautiful piece of wood for a pickup cavity, finished guitar came out FREAKING AWESOME! Kinda reminds me John Petrucci's Majesty
Weight. Although I could've saved more in that regard by using anything but aluminum as pickguard material I still lose a lot through routing a big pocket.
Also comes in handy for custom pickup installations.

I spent 2000 Euros and he used cheap chinese parts on the peripherals and decided to make it a short scale without TELLING me first..
