Filip Rudan, 21 years old from Zagreb, was runner-up in the third season of The Voice of Croatia (The Voice Hrvatska), by Vanna's team.
He wrote the first text at the age of 14. His musical models are Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and Toše Proeski and the musical style in which he finds himself is pop.

This guy is the face of Croatia, handsome and talented. Congratulations boy. The mather's emotion is beautiful from beginning to end. I am from Brazil.
There have been several instances where the NON winner made it in music industry while the winner just DISAPPEARED into oblivion.
He's got the VOICE and the LOOKS.

Filip should have won! His duet of Lovely with Albina is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve seen on any singing show.

Also why do these other countries have better singers than the USA?? Just my opinion because I watch a lot of singers from around the world, and the talent is UNBELIEVABLE!!! i love how his mom sings too while her son is performing and so proud. I lost it when he sang "all i ask". He got he looks, the voice and very charming. I hope he makes it big! please don't stop singing!

Svako od takmicara zeli da pobedi, to je normalno i ocekivano. Ali to sustinski ne znaci puno, ukoliko on/ona nemaju osim talenta ono nesto sto izlazi iz njihove duse, i izdvaja od ostalih. Ovaj mladi covek ima. Njegov glas, kojim iznosi svoju emotivnost, iskrenost i dobrotu...izvanredno. Pesmu od Adel......mene je njegovo izvodjenje daleko, daleko jace...dotaklo...

First time hearing him...what a beautiful voice.
Filip Rudan is maybe THE most exciting young male vocalist in Europe today. I don't understand why whatever powers-that-be in the music world are failing to recognize what I so clearly see and hear in Mr. Rudan's performances! He has a uniquely strong presence on-stage and a warm and embracing tone that holds listeners pin-drop silent when he sings. And while his vocal control is superb, he doesn't stint in pushing his notes to the limits of emotional connection. What more is wanted?! 👌🌟

@@pureemotionmusic True. Mr. Ćemeraš has great talent so I couldn't begrudge him the win. But were I a recording label, it is Filip Rudan that I would sign because if you sponsored both for a tour, it's the latter who would quickly achieve a huge following and fame --- which translates to 💲 for the label.
He needs original material. That's what makes the difference between 'singer' and 'artist'
@@512Squared Unlike in some competitions, contestants on "The Voice" do not introduce original materials but sing only covers for the show. Neither is there a requirement for any top recording vocalist to be an actual songwriter nor musician, for the _"art"_ lies in the vocalist's skill and _interpretation._
For example, a fine painter interprets what he sees, what he envisions, on canvas; the painter isn't the tree nor other subject of his work. Similarly, most top recording artists routinely select from the wealth of new songs created and offered for sale by professional songwriters; after which, vocal artists proceed to "make it their own." Imo, Filip Rudan has the skills and charisma and innate _artistry_ needed for a great career in music.
@@ChollaRanch Thank you for your reply and I see that what you are saying is true and it was in my mind too when I made my comment, that not all artists are actually writing their own material. When a singer signs with a label, they often pair them up with a producer and songwriter, if they don't have enough of their own material but that their voice is unique enough to justify the effort of a collaboration.
But my point stands - artists become artists because they are NOT signing covers, they are singing material that either they have written, or that they are producing in collaboration with another artist.
I understand the format of the voice is to use songs and covers and to encourage vocalists to produce their own interpretation. But why that works for the show, if the artist is going to make it outside the show, they need some pretty good original material to show off their talent.
I was replying to your comment that you don't understand why he isn't 'making it'. Well, he's singing covers. He needs to switch to original material. I think the point still stands.

Filip Rudan is an amazing talent from Croatia. The local industry must make him an international star since he's so famous since discovered in the Voice Croatia. Unfortunately he didn't win it but he's definitely more famous than the winner. A new fan of Filip Rudan, here in Malaysia.

What was wrong with these "judges" This was a FOUR Chair Turn within one minute. That guy in the Black Top Hat is deaf!! He has an AMAZING voice! I had to listen to it over and over. He should have won!! I would really like to hear who beat him in the end. Then you find out he plays guitar and dances too. He would be a Super star in America!!
I thought his Lovely duet was so much better than the original. He sounds so much better than some American tone-deaf artists I hear on the radio. I wish they would come to America. I heard there was a war in Croatia, and I am not sure if unrest is still in that area.
The Croatian war for independence from Jugoslavia (Serbia) ended twenty seven years ago, before Filip was even born. So, everything is nice and peacefull here, don't worry. 😁
