It is traditional to give out Mandarin oranges during Chinese New Year. They are usually given to family members, friends, relatives, colleagues, and business associates during Chinese New Year visits. They are a way of expressing good wishes, respect, and gratitude to the recipients. The number of mandarin oranges to give depends on the occasion and the relationship. Generally, it is customary to give and receive them in pairs, as they symbolize good luck and prosperity. You should also avoid giving odd numbers of mandarin oranges, as they are associated with misfortunes. Hope you find this information helpful. Happy New Year everyone.
