Braunig Lake Feeding Frenzy Before The Eclipse

Went fishing at Braunig Lake to see how the eclipse would affect the bite. It caught fire. The guys next to me all started catching too. Fishbites and shrimp were the key. Thanks for spending your time with me and enjoy!

I looks like you’re running more than two rods. I thought we weren’t allowed more than two. I’m new to fishing here in Texas and to the park rules. I wouldn’t mind running a bunch. Just as long as it’s less than 100 hooks correct?

You’re correct, there’s a 2 rod limit. The amount of rods I have out is determined by fisherman on the bank. If the park is slow, I’ll have 4 out max, usually 3. I had 4 out so I can try to get content, and I don’t keep any fish. When it’s busy like Fri-Sun I’ll have 2 out only. I’m mindful of people needing space to fish, I’ll have one rod out if need be. 100 hooks?

@@OrphanTube210 never used one, nor have ever seen one used. I use one hook. Look up regulations.
