Come on you can only do so much with a chip. Potato's most chippys use the same and most use the same oil . Cod is cod batter is batter . Then if you wrap them that buggers the crispy batter. It's hardly Mitchell star food .
Oh you of little faith. There are good white fluffy spuds and there are cheap yellow sweet tasting spuds. Spuds that are cooked to a crisp, and spuds not drained properly or re-heated. Many are the same, but the great ones, yhe ones who really take pride in their frying are really great. Maybe you've not had the pleasure yet?
