Hey! Great vid, but I think it's worth mentioning that for the Skyscale mount, you'll need 250 currency from each LW S4 episode's maps - which may take a considerable amount of time depending on how populated the maps are these days. This step in the Skyscale collection took me the longest!

:D took 3 days intense bjora farming (you can change bjora currency for every lws4 currency). And heart farming on each lws4 map

@@TiffyMissWiffy Both, but I think I will aim for the Skyscale first. As much as I want to rush getting the mounts, I do want to try finish the living world story first in order as I am currently working on the Living Story Season 2. Can't wait to see more content from you :)

Side note: as someone who also has to do recordings and VO, you might want to look into getting a pop filter for your mic. It sounds like some of your plosives are coming through and some other soft mouth sounds that can be eliminated by the pop filter. If you are already using one you can adjust your gain to address that issue as well. Hope that is helpful :D
Audio is my nemesis, I have a pop filter 😆 and tried playing with the gain to be heard, didn’t realize it could be emphasizing my pops. Thank you, I will take a look 😊
@@TiffyMissWiffy You could also combine the pop filter with a foam windscreen, depending on the mic. Sometimes the combination can do the trick as well, they're fairly inexpensive, but it's something you'll have to test for. I will say it wasn't massive, it might just be that I have to do this sort of work myself and it might be more noticeable to me because of that. lol

Tip for those who don't wanna waste half their life getting mounts they'll not really need- You do NOT need the Skyscale mount outside of its own zone. Yes its handy but everywhere they go, you CAN get with a bunny mount. I'm yet to find a part of the game that i absolutely regret not having skyscale. The skimmer also levels up and can swim underwater too if you go find where that upgrade achievement starts. It's a little round a bout on the maps but its fun :D

1:52 While this is nominally true, if you have the Bond of Vigor mastery (Crystal Champion line, not Griffon specific), you can wing flap fast enough to get a bit higher than your starting altitude. This is sometimes enough to reach places that are about the same height as your starting point, and it's almost enough to maintain level flight over distance.
Absolutely, my skills are horrible, I think I’ve only done it successful once with the Bond of Vigor 😅
:D returning octobre 2020. And boy - there was a lot i missed after 6 years break. Skipped Griffon (because when i only later heard of its existence) and went right to Skyscale. Hell of a quest but happy to have it now. Loved lws3, PoF story and lws4 - but icebrood saga i completey hate. it's so chaotic
Welcome back, yeah I’ve heard of a few people who decided to just get the Skyscale instead, I rarely use my Griffon now. I loved Grothmar Valley but understand how Icebrood isn’t for everyone
I was hoping to hear more about other changes to the game. Like, I noticed Tequatl no longer needs North/South Boat/Hill defense teams (which I think is sad, because defense teams were a lot more fun than mobbing the boss). Somewhere along the line, a "consume all" or "use all" menu option was added to the right-click menu of many items. That's a huge QoL improvement.
Ohh yeah those are some good ones! There is a lot so I went more high level but I can totally see the value in the QoL tips too!

I just finished the latest chapters with the 2 dragons and holy shit i was legit bawling. I'm so emotionally attached to Aurene (and my fern hound, raptor and bunny but that's a different story lol) I never ever thought i'd get so deep into a game that i'd actually cry but i suppose i shouldn't be surprised, i remember when i did dragonsstand the first few times i was a sweaty palmed panicking mess lmfao. Needa retreat back to some of the calmer zones after these big events and mettas just to calm my farm LOOOOL
Sounds like your enjoying the story at least. One my favourite events is the Metal Legion concert, that may cheer you up. Check out some cool vistas, or Easter eggs :)

Its worth noting too that one of the achievements in bjora marches isn't a standard kill the monster one. You have to do steps BEFORE you kill it...ALso- it neverrrrr spawns anymore. You have a 10% chance of it spawning in a day... I tried to get it to go for 8 days solid and it only did once, & ppl didnt know what to do in the lead up so killed him and he didn't finish the event. So we all missed out... I gave up on that whole map shortly after and haven't been back there since lol The meta is kinda fun tho.

I'm up to date on all the newer stories but can't finish some in the older versions cos i'm a delicate flower (sylvari) ranger. Not strong enough to solo bosses so my stories stop at each one. Its so fucking shit i wish Anet would fix that. I have full ascended gear and am as strong a build as i can be but yet can't solo my own fucking story. It pisses me off to no end. There are some kind souls who offter to help with missions too tho for achievements which is great but you HAVE to get there and do them ASAP while everyone is playing it or you're doomed. lol
I solo’d it all with my thief, some of it was incredibly hard (hours). I thankfully as a thief have ways to step away to heal or distract. Fire ele powder, boosters, and food may help. If I’m ever online you can ask too!
