Hi, Richard, it's nice to see a man who lets his wife get involved with the sailing part. Louise I
can see you really enjoy the boat. I wish you both many happy sailing days together.

My wife and I spent years ocean cruising and also raised our two daughters onboard, but we learned early on that the best place for the woman is steering while the man goes forward to do the heavy work.

Yes, this guy is a lazy so and so. Lucky his partner is more capable than he is.

Gonagain yup. He's got someone else varnishing, someone else hoisting sails etc. The aft part of the boat is a very comfortable place for someone who's gotten used to having others do the job..
I wouldn't be surprised if he occasionally goes to the gym instead of doing his bit at home or on the boat.. with a PT of course, who can do the heavy lifting..

Yes, huge thanks to Louise,Richard, and to you Richard G. , for stunning lens work.. only some of us understand the talent required to be frame-on,foot-work so smooth to the next shot, the degree of graceful panning, lighting,sound.. and the whole shebang coming together in such gracefulness . Mr. Gregson you have my 10 vote for excellence in all phases ! The lovely little bright graceful Ivy Green is over-the-top breathtaking stunning . Someday I will have a hatch sporting a center prism.. one of my favorite boat pieces / if you can pull it off.. how bout a part 2,noting the woodwork, placement and attention to the galley, salon, bunks etc.. Please !!

I can view this amazing report over-and-over... seeing something sparkling somehow evading my attention before.. like scene at time 10:02.. this is a good shot that shows the richness of a touch of common white paint here and there.. of which was the case with my Tug, how I tired of all the wood with it's capability to shout .. 'darkness' ... and how the white pops out the natural wood grain . So,here's to beautiful boats and all they bring !

No hard feelings, but I would have liked to see her from a ways off as I want reminding of what a gaff rig is. I'll google or something. You do this so well in so many of your videos I'm sure it was just a time constraint or such like.
Absolutely love your videos , thank you thank you. Cheers

Beautiful boat. But the skipper? He speaks of how easy it is to sail when all he does is steer and watch his wife do all the deck work, hoist sails without winches. If were his crew l would mutiny.

I used to live in a house overlooking Falmouth harbour, I lost count of the useless skippers at the helm shouting instructions at the woman doing all the work, particularly when picking up a mooring. I'd have been more impressed seeing him hoist the main and the wife deal with the topsail.
Too many posh wimpy blokes in the gaff world these days particularly around the Solent, it used to be the working man's rig but what I'm curious to know is what makes certain types of women choose to marry them? The sort who wear the trousers in a relationship perhaps?

Richard mate, you come across as dead weight on board. We'd take Louise sailing no problem and she'd be encouraged to do lots more helming than she seems to do. With your apparent attitude, we'd leave you on the dock. There should be no rigid delineation of jobs. A good point of safety to remember is that everyone should be well practiced in everything on board.
