- I wanted to highlight Matteo because of the beautiful tasteful phrasing that he uses. Fusion guitar gives a performer a lot of freedom but Matteo's music still carries a beautiful melody that makes sense and is easy to follow. The magic it seems is he makes it sound easy and doable. Probably doable but definitely not easy. Here's the full video from JTCguitar: • Fusion Collab 2.0! (Ma...

What? Like what?!? Just unreal. Speechless.
That last half of this track he just absolutely murders it, had to go back and listen several times. Gold
Matteo is one of the best young musicians around. So much soul and talent.
No argument from me on that. Thanks for you comment.

This guy is amazing! It's not just his technique it's his phrasing too
Simply the best player out there right now
A lot of players play fast, Matteo is fast but he tastefully phrases his notes in peaks and valleys to create art!
His right hand playing is out of this world. Is he with Yamaha guitars? Do you know? Signature model? Thanks
A Russian named Max Ostro is another amazing young new player.
@@1972Georges He is playing a Custom Yamaha RevStar, not a Signature model in production (as of yet).
Guthrie Govan on electric guitar is unmatched by anyone still alive. MM does a nice cover of GG's "Fives".
That’s awesome! There are so many talented people in this world and CZcams allows us to discover them one-by-one. Love this!
Yeah, Matteo Mancuso is a favorite. I'll be highlighting a lot more soon.
Well, unless youtube bans them for their political beliefs,,,,,
@@sheckygagstein8966amazing comment of the day! Hahaha.
Unbelievable playing. Besides the next level technique and phrasing, he has great time and feel. One of the best out there!
Exactly! It's that tasteful phrasing that gets me.
After all is said and done with this man his music legacy will be known as "The Masterworks."
Wow! High praise and I agree!
Bravo, young Jedi!!!! Bravo!!
Talented he is...
Heavenly
Mancuso Is a real Natural talent
And so young too.
Absolutely effortless talent ,great dynamic playing and a joy to listen to
Revstars are such underrated guitars. I've got one in faded Japanese denim with p90s. The sound, playability and build quality are equal to any leading brand at 3x the price.
I do love the sustain. I'm looking into Strats on the affordable side watching a lot of videos to decide but I'm loving the Revstar overall too.
Eu tenho uma SF700 1977 que adoro ,acredito que está Yamaha que ele tá usando seja mais antiga como a minha não a nova , mas com certeza o que vc diz é verdade , as guitarras da Yamaha dão de pau em muitas guitarras famosas …
Picking technique changing is flawless...
Outstanding!!!! 😀👍
This is so beautiful on so many levels I get wet eyes.. 😮good god almighty I'm in awe ... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mostruoso!!!! Per me è il più grande chitarrista del mondo!!Da chitarrista professionista 👍💪 Grande Matteo 🇮🇹
I agree... Mostruoso!
He's good (as is fellow Italian Giancarlo Turro 🎸), but Guthrie Govan is the greatest electric guitarist still alive.
Insanely good! Beautiful lines effortlessly flowing.
My thoughts exactly. I keep talking about the way he phrases his notes.
Bravissimo!!!
Just crazy. I have no words. The second half really catched me again and again
The only thing I dislike about this video is how many people I've shown and they've been like, "yeah, cool". It's pretty mind-blowing. Y'all suck.
Matteo I love the way you play and the melody of your improvisation! Thank you for the vid!
Glad you enjoy it!
Numero 1!!!!!🇮🇹😎🎸
Matteo is so young but quick becoming G.O.A.T. in his style.
Absolutely incredible
Yes, incredible and so very young talent.
OMG I can’t get over your talent. Amazing!
A gift to the world!
A young new incredible Prodigy! ...........Excellent talent with amazing heart. Great job Matteo!@
Yes indeed!
You are amazing Mateo - beautiful, powerful, …….stunning- thank you

Super Eccellente my friend!
phenomenal!
Indeed!
Un fenomeno!!!
Matteo is amazing... I agree!
Amazing talent
And fun to watch him (and his band perform).
I've never seen a shredder use classical style finger picking so excellently. Magnificent playing❤
Do you know Michael Lee Firkins? Also technically very good and no plectrum user.
I've always been fascinated by bass guitarists who play up to 8 string bass guitars but being a lead guitarist myself of course I gravitate towards the electric guitar sounds and tone. Truly magnificent.
Interesting... I actually thought Michael sounded a bit like Eddie Van Halen (Rock/Rockabilly) sound like "Hot for Teacher". Thanks for the comment I'd never heard of him.
So smooth!
Very Smooth aand such a uniques finger picking syle.
He is insane skill level but until I see the masses play his music or try to as they do with Mr Govan then I'd say Guthrie Govan is still on top of that perch.....
he didn't have a finger pick because he didn't have, he is unlike you who followed what you see, he is he who followed what he feels. Naturally he doesn't have a pick because he used to play without it and trained to play without it.
The new BEST
Agree!
more than possible. Beyond the horizon.
If I were young again I'd definitely give this style a shot but we were all trying to imititate Eddie Van Halen.
Im speechless
I watch a lot of his videos, this clip is one that I can't help but rewatch over and over because of his perfectly timed phrasing.
Amazing i love em
His guitar literally sings!
MASTERFUL COUSIN MATTEO YOU ARE THE TOP IN YOUR ART
He is and... so young. We're going to be blessed with his music for years to come!
Devastante
So young, confident, and yes... devastating!
J 'adore 😎 !
Matteo is a guitarist I "adore" as well.
@@leadguitarshortsHe is young and his talent is really immense
Che bella anima che hai☺
Beautiful indeed!
He has the ability to express it so perfectly - others can't do that
One thing I dislike is bad talk this kid is on point with a pick or his fingers it's his style
Definitivamente esta es la demostración de que existe Dios y le da un don a cada persona.
Wow, I think this is one of the nicest comments I've ever read. Matteo would be honored.
You are a guitar God...
Matteo is so young and he's only getting started! Thanks for watching.
WowFinallyNotAShowOffGuitarist!!
He has a great ear and style as a composer. Not just shredding but telling a story.
👌🏻
Unico...
Truly Unique as a guitarist.
Someone please buy this poor guy a pick.... :D
His face is so funny, he looks like a retired undertaker😆
Holy shit.
Amazing... indeed! Matteo's style is one of a kind.
The best part is at the end when his head turns into an elongated blur
Thanks. Not planned that way, lol. Just happened.
The climax is precisely at 0:55
I'm a drummer and I would love to jam with this guitar player
I mentioned in the description how I love the way he just doesn't blast off notes but tastefully phrases in sigments his solos.
I wish i could do that
For sure... It's daydream fantasy guitar performance.
Practice
orgoglio italiano
Italian Pride! 🇮🇹
a scuola suono il flaut e il pomeriggio prendo lezioni di chitarra eletrica per diventare come te
I heard recently that God goes to Matteo's for guitar lessons.
I know Chuck Norris is on his waiting list! Lol. Thanks for the comment.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I might as well sell my guitar.
I thought the same thing when I watch guys like Tim Henson and Guthrie Govan.
How did he pinch harmonized without a pick?🤯
Nails
I didn’t know you can do that😅
Ahhhh.... great question and I know the answer. He actually plucks the string with his pinky finger while hitting in front of it with his index. Hope that makes sense.
He actually plucks the string with his pinky finger while hitting in front of it with his index. Hope that makes sense.
Exactly... on his pinky while tapping on the same string with his index finger in front. Crazy huh?!
Matteo Gambale
Emerging and established guitarists such as Max Ostro and Tim Henson, just to name the best known, use a modern mood and technique that favors rhythmic and frenetic movement without interruption. There is no doubt that in the current guitar scene they represent something new and interesting but I have the impression that this evolution does not go hand in hand with an effective and lasting stylistic and technical innovation. What I want to say is that if the technical and melodic characteristics of these guitarists do not have a minimum of contamination and beneficial integrations from the musical schools of the past, they will run the risk of becoming flat and representing only a affected exercise in style. This is the fundamental reason why Matteo Mancuso stands out majestically among these types of contemporary guitarists.
👌🏻
What he said. 😊❤
Was there anything knew I've done? Don't call me a modern guitarist pls
Was there anything knew I've ever done? Don't call me a modern guitarist pls
@@MaxOstro Hi Max, I honestly didn't understand what you said, Hi
If you like this, you should check out Max Ostro. He's very much like Guthrie Govan!
I love Max but sometimes he's locked into his RacerX modes. I love his Promenade performance for JTC Guitar. Maybe it's because I grew up playing a lot of Jazz style guitar so my preferences lean towards those melodies.
what scale does he use in the first 20 seconds?
I honestly don't know. I play by ear. I wish I had been more disciplined when I first begin my guitar lesson.
Can you teach me to do finger picking for speed
It's a technique very difficult to learn. I think that MM Is unique in the world, I ever seen no one able to replicate his technique.
I would recommend watching Bass Guitarists. You'll find some of the best in the world can keep up with matteo on a 6 string electric bass.
Miglior chitarrista al mondo!
In style and in this time, I agree.
What brand is the string mute he's using here?
I don't know. I don't think he's mentioned his string choice in any videos that I've seen. If anyone knows, please share.
Wht muscle memory does 😮
As a lead guitarist I can relate to that feeling especially when doing improvised solos. Often the brain can't keep up with the fingers moving by memory.
Boss gt,Mg30 vậy
Thank you.
Erick johnson sounds
Yes, very clean, clear picking style and melodic like EJ.
......when they only give you ONE minute to audition for the band.
How tf you pinch harmonic like that?
Finger picking, like Jeff Beck 🎉❤😅
Definitely. He played a tribute song to Jeff recently.
*PromoSM* 😔
Thank you
Exactly!
Matteo's timing is better than Max's.
They are both incredibly talented. Watch Max's performance of Promenade and watch his solo timing as he hits the harmonics with his picking hand. Matteo has a unique harmonic method in this clip where he uses his pointer finger touching the string and plucking with his pinky finger at the same time. Insane!
Curious to know who is Max(?)
@@erikcouvretostro
Simply one of the GOAT. Its time to recognize this evident fact.
I've often wondered if I should retrain myself to finger pick like him.
@@leadguitarshorts its very difficult to replicate. His technique is a mix of flamenco and electric bass, with a particular fingering
THE Goat

He's no Angus Young.
And Angus Young is no Malcolm Young (RIP😢)!
Another Guitar Hero!
RIP indeed.
He can do Angus easily. He can do everything on guitar
Talented yes! No feeling and it sound like a bunch of, "see all the cool stuff I can do" guitar playing!
Talented, young, and still growing. 40,000+ views and positive comments tell me you're probably in the 0.00000001% that thinks that but it takes a stronger person that me to actually see his talent in the negative.
😂😂😂😂😂😂oh my..🤦♂️That's bitter jealousy speaking. Very ugly
Matteo sei una bomba
jE n'aime pas le Shred habituellement, ici ce n'en est point.
I'm not really into the "shredders" either. Like I always say "I love the way he phrases his note like telling a story"
His girlfriend would appreciate his right hand too
Aha... more motivation for me to practice... Thanks! Lol.
😂😂😂😂🎉🎉😂😂😂😂
tone is weak, use a pick more.
Wow, this surprises me. I love his tone. Maybe he could turn up the treble more but you'll alway get a bit of mute using finger vs. pick. I believe that's the sound he vibes with. Thanks for your comment.
He's a very technical player but the music he plays is bland tasteless and boring. How about music with energy and melodies like metal?
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
It's time to recognize this simple and evident fact : MM is one of the best in the world and one of the best of all times
Certainly unique and has an incredible ear to phrase his melody so well.
N°1
Very similar to holdsworth this the first time Iv heard this guy he's pretty nuts
and he's still so young. Love to see how his music style evolves as he gets older.
Not really, Allan Holdsworth's lines are far more "out there" than MM's tasty vibes
Quello dei maneschinn è molto più bravo
Forse nei suoi sogni più bagnati. Rispetto a Mancuso é uno scarso dilettante
Lol. I just translated this... I'm dying laughing.
