I've gotta Soundlink Mini 2. Not the loudest but it gives great sound for its size and is well built. Bose designed the original over 2 years ago, they knew what they were doing!

I LOVE the beefy fat rubber surround on that subwoofer driver. Chances are it also has a vented basket and vented coil because a lot of smaller drivers use vented baskets and coils to improve power handling and efficiency. I have an older Sony iPod dock and the drivers have vented baskets and coils

Great video as always. For some reason seeing you get a text and lighting up was kinda nice. It kind of give a reminder that you're a person just like the rest of us. People, myself included, tend to forget that. At this years heatwave show in Austin, Tx I saw Johnathan price and it was kinda weird. Don't get me wrong, he was very nice when I spoke to him for a second but it was like man....that guy I see on the computer in these videos...is a real person. Of course I know that people I see in videos are real people but there is just something sureal seeing someone in person that you've only seen in videos. I'm not sure if i'm communicating my thought properly but hopefully you can kinda understand what i'm talking about. Anyways, rambling over. Keep up the great videos and I look forward to the next one. Have a great Christmas.
It might have the bumps to help the passive woofers not wobble the. For example the h&k onyx studio 1-4s( not as drastic in the 4 version ) passive woofers wobble at certain frequencies and you can hear it clearly when they do.
I thought it was massive from the thumbnail, it was quite a surprise when I saw it in your hand, lol.

I think those little bubbles on the passive radiators surrounds add a progressive value to its excursion so softer listening will still flex those radiators adequately.

Bought one around Xmas on sale for around $75 and it is a excellent speaker, the bass is nice and I use it by my bed and might have too much bass when trying to sleep. Great speaker though for the price.
Pretty cool bluetooth.. For the life of me I always wanna take out their cheap subs and put in high end. They always look cheepy but this thing moves.

I use an anker SoundCore boost I think it is with I believe 2x 10w drivers and 2x passive subwoofers and I really like it, never done 'scientific tests' a bit like you but the only problem is the grill on the front rattles on the front middle sub but I just put two zip ties around it and a little piece of wood wedged between it to put some force against it and completely stops all of it. I would take the grill off and try and fix it but its really waterproof so I don't want to ruin the seal. Around $65 I think.

Based on this and other reviews, (Oluv mainly) I just got my Doss Soundbox XL today and it sounds amazing! I can't stop smiling! 😊 First, the 'bad' news, it's made of plastic but doesn't look plastic... matte finish. The volume control doesn't sync, it is not rugged or waterproof, more of a home portable and it doesn't take calls but it does go silent when you get a call or when you have any other audio coming from your phone, like CZcams or any other site and of course, don't drop it on the ground! The rest is ALL beyond good! The grille is metal and the button console is brushed steel with black round glossy buttons that click easy. Even better than I expected! No hum or rattle! This speaker handles ALL recordings really well! I dunno how! My stereo, which is really excellent, can't do that! Even the highs are good. The bass is great!! And wired to my old iPod Classic, it really sounds deadly! And MUCH louder too! Maybe 50% volume roughly, on the speaker, is enough. On my phone, I keep the volume loud and control it on the speaker. I can use phone volume buttons too. I have my entire cd collection on that iPod (mp3) so it's great, plus I'm yet to buy and try a micro SD card. That may be softer than the iPod as then there would be no preamp so to speak but the speaker is more than loud enough, so... JUST BUY IT!

Nice upgrade on the mic. The zoom H5 xy mic is good up to 140 dB as well.
The bass is reduced as a form of DSP. Its to prevent any grunting or distortion from the woofer. My apple hifi had a similar EQ

those ovals without coils are passive radiators. they extend the lower bass frequenties

Ayw exo those 2 on the bottom with no coil are called passive radiator they do improve the punch in the bass this is wat jbl uses on there speakers and it works
They just don't improve.... They actully radiate it (the bass) ..... Simply replaces the port system on conventional speakers

303 Nitzubishi they do have the closed cell rubber coated foam weatherstripping at some auto parts stores, and i've seen it at a few home stores/hardware stores, that might work and isolate it a little better as well as giving it more surface to grip and prevent sliding with, not a bad idea

Thank's for making this vid....I just bought one of these I use with a Sony NWA45 and some Neoteck amp off Amazon. Anyways you look like you know your speakers, is there anyway to cap off some speakers inside to get more highs? Maybe the box is already tunned?

I've got 2 of them and sometimes I connect both with 3.5mm cables and headphone splitter, because sadly you can't pair them together with bluetooth. But 2 of them really pack a punch though.

I have the updated version the grill vibration is gone. The rubber pads won’t stick to Anything but to fix that you can use a wet towel to clean them.
