I had one as a kid. Got lost somewhere between moving out and on with life. Bought one on ebay and it came in the mail today. Feel like a kid again. Already got a lipo installed. Found myself building ramps on the carpet and all. Extremely nostalgic and fun car. Never gets old

I live away from my home country and went home for Christmas. I got this out. I bought it many years ago. They are great fun and betting that buying a more serious car if you just fancy getting RC out of your system every now and then. The fact that it's a serious car (propotional steering and nice controller etc.) is what's most cool about it.

Man, mine is a hopup paperweight with all the metal upgrades, but I still need a motor and esc. It sucks knowing they don't make parts for the car anymore. Would be great to have a market again for these

      there's a chinese clone... called lt832. Saddly I couldn't find seperate parts.
On thingyverse there are files for almost every part.
So I guess, they can still live on for quite a while.
I rip mine from time to time and all I need is new tires.
On a small 180mah 2s lipo even the stock one is fast and tons of fun.

I've had mine for years I seems like I always pull it out when it starts getting cold out. I think they should do a re-make with 2.4 radio controller and have it come with a lipo. I think it would be a big hit like it was as long as they can keep the price down. Would be super cool if they could remake it with a mid motor set up to copy the current 1/10 scale cars.
They did have issues with the transmission wearing out and I broke the front tie rods and rear bulkhead. The tie rods were very easy fix with the clear plastic home made tie rods.

losi has failed us all by releasing the best rc cars ever made and then discontinuing them and cutting all support for spares this does anger me somewhat i understand no every1 wants to run there vintage losis but i do i have about 10 minis and micros all together gathering dust because im scared to break them and not replace the parts!

Put sellotape around the tyres and turn laminat into an ice racing/drifting track. The tyres they come with are for carpet racing so will be toast on surfaces like concrete.

I had one of these over ten years ago as a kid. It was fun to drive but the plastic steering links were very fragile and broke almost every time i drove it. Last I checked they never really came up with a solution to this problem.

Use a cable tie as the steering rod

  • @deldia
    @deldia Před 4 lety

I left batteries in the quick charger for years and they leaked and broke it. So I ripped the cable off it and got a 12 DC power adapter and soldered it on to that. Much better. The battery has lost its capacity over the years so I will need to buy a new Lipo battery.

Anyone have a fix for the gearbox? Mine kept stripping gears despite numerous replacements and loosening slipper clutch. Just took mine out of the closet lol, and would love to make it run again. Any help would be most appreciated :)

Mine is in perfect shape still no damage the only problem is the battery is now bad and I can't get another one cause they don't make them anymore.

Get batteries made for walkera helicopters. They have the same plug and usually fit in the battery compartment. I had the same problem, the battery that came with the micro t back in the day died after 6months of use, then I bought another one that also died in a couple of months and that's actually the reason why my losi sat on a shelf for years, but recently I bought 1s lipos that are originally made for those helicopters and it's awesome and cheaper than the replacement battery I got back in the day.
hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-300mah-1s-20-40c-lipo-pack-losi-mini-compatible.html (they say losi mini compatible, but it's way too small for a mini, it's perfect size for a micro.)
hobbyking.com/en_us/walkera-ga006-usb-dual-lipoly-charger-qr-ladybird-genius-cp-mini-cp.html (and this charger, also be careful only plug it in a computer, if you use a wall outlet like for charging phones you might overheat the charger.)
And with that setup I just needed to swap the positive and the negative on the plug of the receiver. (if you don't do that you will fry the electronics, but it's easy to see if it will work or not. Basically when you receive the batteries, if you line the battery and your receiver connector, DO NOT PLUG THEM IN JUST LINE THEM UP SO THEY FACE EACH OTHER IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT CONNECT THEM YET, you'll see the red wire on the battery faces the black wire on the receiver, so just pop the pins out of the plug on the receivers by pressing with a tiny flathead through the little opening on the top of the connector and just invert the wires so they match with the battery.)
And you will get the same power as stock, like 3 times the play time and it will fit in the battery compartment. Also you get rid of that annoying charger with batteries.

I know this is an old post but I recently pulled out my Micro T and one of the rear drive shafts has fallen out somehow. Losi doesn't sell the parts anymore and i can't seem to find any online. Any ideas where to find one?

I have some i can give you. I have a micro T that is in decent shape you can pull parts off or fix. it just needs a rear shock and a plastic steering rod is broken. I have extra drive shafts new in bag too.
if you are interested let me know and we can find a way to get it to you.
