I dont see too much of a point to the lifting heavier stuff as they don't provide any better buffs besides quicker muscle mass. As for the dumbbells id say the gold one is fairly decent but they still suck as weapons so I wouldn't waste the gems on one unless it was a challenge

Wolfgang is definitively better than he was. Sure, it's harder to get him mighty, but full hunger can make his mighty state last for nearly and entire day. He can use piggyback AND marble suit without the speed decrease when mighty, making him arguably the tankiest & one of the most versatile characters in the game. Plus, he won't eat your fridge.

He can get his benefits without beefalo or ruins, and only ever needs to spend some time lifting and foraging (things you will ALREADY be doing as Wolfgang) in order to get access to crazy high defense, excellent inventory, and 2x damage for an extended period of time. No, the items that make him powerful are not unique to him. But the fact that he can use them to a fuller extent and get access to them easier than any other character is what MAKES him powerful. Just because he doesn't have access to a ton of unique tools doesn't mean he is weak; a few important changes are enough, not to mention how well he can synergize with other characters BECAUSE of his simplicity.

The no speed penalty when mighty which makes marble armor (it blocks 90% of damage) and piggyback (a backpack with more inventory slots and is fire proof), and also he can travel by sea faster when mighty too. His damage is now a flat 2x when mighty instead of the inconsistent tie change at the slightest loss of hunger. Also hunger is less of a problem as it's must more reasonable drain instead of the 3x drain when mighty. Don't get me wrong you still gonna keep him fed at least decently as hungry is tied with how fast the mighty meter drains, but at least with the rework he isn't as much of a destroyer to his team's food supply anymore. His might time can last longer than before. Sure he lost the mighty speed boost and his stats are always a 200 (expect the mighty meter which is at 100)
to say that you probably never play with wolfgang, piggyback with the old speedboost gives you 5% more speed, with this one you LOSE speed comparing with the old one

He's the strong man not the fast man. That belonged to a different character since the start of the original don't starve game. A flat 2x damage output is a huge upgrade from the inconsistent scale with hungry so that means less time required to eat which means better dps over the course of a fight which goes well with a higher amount of time to go from mighty to wimpy which is made even better now that gaining the mighty form is more simplified than his prerework counterpart

If I can suggest, I've seen a few videos you've done so far and while they're good, I do kinda feel like the sudden media cuts are a bit... jarring with the music completely cutting out in those instances. Maybe work on integrating them a bit more and lessening how many there are would be better for the flow of the video?

It's now a constant 1.5x the base rate. So far review by players has been a retarded ass mix of shitty old WG fanboys trashing and giving empty arguments over why it's a bad rework while the neutrals or positive ones feedback as a decent change with enough pros to have current WG be still as good as old but without the absurd coop killer aspects (the damn 3.5x hunger rate mighty state had on WG, ensuring almost all food had to be reserved to a WG player and only for the single benefit of making boss fighting easier). Current WG has a more manageable food expense (constant 1.5x base hunger rate), has the DPS be more stable (old WG needed full hunger bar to deal 2x, requiring a stupid amount of food on his pockets and decent k owledge on kiting to eat and keep DPS up, now you only need to spend a minute or two with the gym for a day's worth of 2x damage), got extra utility (WG can be packrat of team with piggy bag or be a tank with the tankiest armor without any speed penalty while Mighty) to just have him haul a huge ass slab of granite without much speed loss (current WG only loses 40% speed compared to the others 60% penalty)

I don't mind losing the speed boost. There's so many speed characters now that having some tankier characters gives more variation.
I'm also surprised he didn't abuse the fuck out of the marble armor, which doesn't affect Wolfgang's speed at full strength.

Current WG has a more manageable food expense (constant 1.5x base hunger rate), has the DPS be more stable (old WG needed full hunger bar to deal 2x, requiring a stupid amount of food on his pockets and decent k owledge on kiting to eat and keep DPS up, now you only need to spend a minute or two with the gym for a day's worth of 2x damage), got extra utility (WG can be packrat of team with piggy bag or be a tank with the tankiest armor without any speed penalty while Mighty) to just have him haul a huge ass slab of granite without much speed loss (current WG only loses 40% speed compared to the others 60% penalty)
