Of course when I killed it, I felt nothing at all no problem. But finding out it was a source of farming legendary cores left my jaw on the floor due to being way past the point of no return. Thanks for this guide and I'll make sure it doesn't get destroyed next time.
Damn I know the feeling
RazgrizEdge same

Chance at *Redemption*
Huh, I just got healed out of nowhere
I just completed Ursula’s quest and was amazed at how short this is
I love your work with all these guides and recommendations; totally worth the subscriptions o7
That's the best thumbnail i've seen in a while
The lightning stump is also super easy since the Leaning Tower of Derrick is a Landmark with a Forestry point just around the corner of the pillar.
Gaiacrusher9fan2 bruh is this a lie because I’ve been farming and it hasn’t come up yet
Gaiacrusher9fan2 never mind you weren’t lying
I killed it and I didn't even knew it was this big of a deal lmao
For the first stage, you should use ruby mangosteens instead cause theres 2 collection points right in front of yurna the elderwood in the urayan stomach+they you only need 4 instead of 10. You could also get black pomegranites this way for herald
You've been a great help. Thanks a lot !
Wooooooow, two uploads in one day huh? The grind is real
Haha truely
Surprised you haven’t made a vid about the new update yet, your vids are usually the most helpful i can find on xc2 so i look forward to it
Appreciate the video!
Thanks 🙏 for this video very helpful 👊
once i finally got him to level 99 i almost cried bc he was was just being so cute laying there but i really needed to get perun and ahkos they’re my last blades
I will let the baby Ardun live this time.
I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!
"I wanna feed it but I can't interact with it! Maybe if I kill it maybe?" I'm not smart.
Alex Burns honestly I thought it would train it or something lol
I kept my promise.
Thank you so much I never killed the ardun but I had no idea where to get the items😂
If I knew how to target enemies when I started my playthrough,I would of been screwed
Thanks, dude.
Thanks, big help!
THANKS for that VID.... I will definitly Do as you say and farm my Level 99 Beast Ardon^^
I killed it to see if it'll respawn, and when it didn't i loaded my previous save (sth like 2 hours earlier because i didn't save regulerly at that time), because i played enough (J)RPGs to know that when something is peculiar like that, you better keep an eye on it throughout the game
I forgot about the tombstone. Thank God. It was such a grind the first time but it payed off!! Easy 25 legendary cores
Thank god for this. My friend killed it on purpose at the beginning because I told him I needed it.
Relentless Arduan is like the Arduan who wants to kill you because you overfed him to the point of gene mutation. I don't know he seems really angry at you for some reason.
The only Ardun I've killed in this game are ones a melz runner decided to call up when I was fighting these Noble Roar enemies for a particular quest.
Victor Wilson no he doesn’t fight unless u fight which is strange for a unique
I got lucky. I originally killed the baby ardun, but after a quick Google search, I decided I would lose the last bit of save progress and restart from before I killed it.
Thanks I was able to get my ardune to 80 and 99
Farming Arduran in the new patch felt like they tweaked the legendary core drop rate to be lower. Also, Arduran resists driver combo pieces a lot more than pre-patch.
I have a question, in NG+, if you defeat it before feeding it, will it spawn yet again? I can use the tombstone, but will it work when I play again?
When that guy said about the Ardune, I Accidentally started the fight and couldn't avoid him being killed :c that was really sad, couldn't go back to last save file cause I was playing for some hours without saving.
Thanks
I have to ask can you feed it any time in the 1st playthrough if its still alive? or at a certain chapter it disappears?
I slayed that Ardun at lv1 and didn’t think much of it lol
What's the earliest level you can kill the relentless arduran? Can I do it at level 70, or do I have to be 99?
And I'm talking player level, not ardun level
so this is how to spawn the relentless ardun? i did not know this stuff, and found the video by accident haha...
interesting stuff though, i will look into doing it
I got it to Relentless Arduran but tbh I prefer grinding for cores with the lower level Land of Morytha UM, forgot its name. Easy to kill and the fights are short.
EDIT FUCK THAT LMAO I TRIED FARMING WITH ARDURAN AND I WAS GETTING LEGENDARIES LEFT AND RIGHT. GET REKT IF YOU KILLED HIM EARLY LMAO THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CORE FARMING YOU NOOBS
Alpha EtikaRad two types of peopple
I just famed reeking douglas
Level 99 now
And got my last blade in the process (Zenobia)
I'm farming him RN for Vale and Newt, I have max luck on Zeke to try and get Vale and can get mex on morag for Newt
Ayden Smith Quick tip, Max her out as soon as possible. She's the easiest blade to max out which is good because she is a godsend when fighting super boss's.
I am truly heartless
Are we sure that the tombstone for it will stay for NG+? I already have it now so does that mean I don't need to redo the quest again?
In NG+ all Unique Monsters retain their "dead" status, so if you've killed them once, they'll remain as tombstones on the second playthrough. So yeah, if you've killed Arduran once you're fine.
Awesome! Thanks for the reply!
"Timestamps are in the decription"

What if you die to him? Does he leave and not able to get back or what? I'm just about to get mine to level 99 but I'm only level 75. I'm unsure if I can kill it but don't want to try if I can't
really love tora ft poppi dance :*
Can you do a video on the Nopon sage?
I find it funny that most of these items are found in Tantal
How do I get to the place to get crunchy passion fruit because I haven't done to much traveling in mor ardain so I don't have the fast travel
Haha, I don't explore in games so I didn't know this was a thing till now.
I was able to get the Arduran infinately stuff using Adenine's Lv3 Special. It couldnt move or attack. It was stuck on another arduran. :)
Hi David
Please can you make a video on driver combos, driver combo finishers, blade combos and blade combo finishers and how to easily do them for affinity. Also explain what they actually are.
maymod rayman
*Driver combos* are the break-topple-launch-smash combos. Driver combo finishers are just whoever does the "smash" at the end. Unlike xenoblade chronicles 1, effects do not layer. (If you inflict topple on an enemy that is already toppled, you just wasted that effect).
*In case you don't know what break-topple-launch-smash are,* they are all effects caused by certain arts:
Break on it's own does nothing. Topple stuns the enemy, but only if the enemy is already suffering from break. Launch makes it so you don't gain any aggro, but can only if the enemy is suffering from topple. Smash does a ton of damage and makes the enemy drop items, but only if the enemy are suffering from launch.
You can see how far you are in the combo above the enemy's name (up and to the left).
*Blade combos* are more complex.
You start a blade combo by using a special as any blade. (We'll call it the 1st stage of the blade combo)
In the top right, a chart will appear. It will show the element of the special you used on the left, which will split off into 2 other elements. (We'll call these 2 elements the 2nd stage).
The 2 elements in the second stage each split off into 2 more elements (we'll call these the 3rd stage).
In order to go to the 2nd stage of the blade combo, you must use a level 2 or higher special of an element in the 2nd stage.
For example, let's say you used a water special to start the combo: the 2 elements in the 2nd stage are water and earth. You or a party member must use a level 2, 3, or 4 water or earth special to continue the combo.
After you've done the 2nd stage of the combo, you'll notice that 2 of the 4 elements in the 3rd stage are gone. You simply do the 3rd stage by using a level 3 or 4 special of one of the remaining elements.
For example, let's say you used water to start the combo, then used a level 2 water special for the 2nd stage. Your 2 remaining elements in the 3rd stage are water and dark. You or a teammate need to use a level 3 or 4 water or dark special.
Congrats, that's your blade combo. Once you've started your blade combo, you only have a limited time to finish it (above the enemy's name, up and to the right). When you move up a stage in the combo, the timer refreshes. When you do a driver combo, you also get extra time.
*When you complete a blade combo,* the enemy will get an orb of the stage 3 element you used. Let's say you used a level 1 water special, then a level 2 water special, then a level 3 dark special for your blade combo. The enemy will get a dark orb. This orb makes them take less damage from dark attacks.
You can burst enemy orbs using a chain attack by using the opposite element. Our enemy has a dark orb, so use a light blade to break it. Every time you burst an enemy's orb, you get another round of the chain attack. You can stack all 6 element orbs on an enemy, and break all 6 in 1 chain attack to deal millions of damage.
If I level him up in my first playthru and don't kill him will he remain a unique monster?
Wait, someone explain this to me, if i leveled Ardun to 99 on my first playthroug, and killed it, Will its tombstone remain at NG+ and i don't need to collect all the items again to feed it? Does this happens with all the bosses? I didn't understand this from the video.
I thought the whole point of it being there was a joke because you kill everything and the owner makes a joke about us killing everything
I didn't know about that being a boss and killed it early in new game +to
I saw this and I wouldn’t have killed it anyway cuz it’s so cute
How do you get to the Ruined laborers' Bridge? its a place i never found. I'm running around ole pipe junction but all the doors are locked.
Recalling from memory here, but I believe you can access it by walking down in the big open area around Chansagh Wastes, and then walking up some metal stairs into the Ruined Laborer's Bridge from there. There are some tall ladders you will need to climb first. I don't think you can access it from inside the Pipe Junction!
The best this to do with the ‘level down’ option is to level down Zeke and Nia and use her as a blade and use Rex, Morag and Tora in your party
Whitninja 2169 but KOS MOS on Zeke is OP
I _tried_ to kill it back when I first entered Torigoth, but Rex refused to unsheath his weapon. I just figured that it wasn't an enemy and the level thing was just to mark it's growth. Everytime I passed it, I would try to kill it again, but it would never work. Now that I see people regreting killing it, I'm glad my game glitched.
Alisethera well technically it is but my God ur a lucky bitch
i hope if i already got the UM that he carries over like the other ones.
I didn't even know you could kill it
Does he stay lvl 99 in New game plslus?
Yeah, I screwed up
I hate my life, I killed it, AAAAAAH NOW I GOTTA DO NG+ FOR THE COOOOORES
MelodyMan same here bro...
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2 New Game Plus I killed the Relentless Ardun and the Baby Ardun died what the heck is that about?
PS: I reloded to before I killed it so now the baby is back.
Don't all killed unique monsters remain dead in NG+? Therefore it would mean that the baby would still be dead no?
Unless the baby version doesn't count as a unique.
I have the same question but, if you take it to 99 when he became an unique and kill him, then it will remain as a killed unique in NG+? (I mean, can you just spawn him with the tombstone?¿)
The baby version isn't a unique monster! Only the level 99 Relentless Arduran is. :)
So if I kill Relentless Arduran I dont need to feed him again in NG+?
Dereck Ramos seems that way
The tombstone stays in new game plus?
Well.....time for a third time around
This is just a curiosity question but how/why did people kill that ardun? Was it by accident or something else?
God of the Sky beginners trying to figure out how the heck the game works stumbled upon this ardun and seeing it could be targeted and fought they in ignorance of what to do attacked it
I killed it because I could it was a enemy near town so I just figured "What the heck" and slaughtered it no regrets though with new game plus I'll kill the grown version of it for completion-est sake.
Why would you need to do this? They already stated that, and I'm quoting from the 1.3 reveal article, "Content in the Event Theater and Unique Monster defeat status [Transfers].". That should mean, if you have already beaten him, that the gravestone will still be there and you can just fight it again without leveling it...
We know, and I believe that fact is quite clearly stated in the video above. However, not everyone killed the Arduran at level 99 to get a gravestone. Many killed him in the infancy stages by accident.
I figured the farmer got a new one if you killed, never tried myself, would make sense. Not like this game to make something permanently missable.
Junglechief87 well Jungle my man some dumbasses like me killed it at lvl 1 when we were noobs so NG+ is a God send cause it respawns it lol
Call me Zelda ONE moar time yeah... I didn't know it didn't respawn. That was my bad. Seemed logical. Thanks for not grilling this dumbass for clearly not paying attention. :(
Junglechief87 it’s fine srry I missed your last Sonic Mania stream btw I was caught up in some stuff
Lol didn’t know about this quest anyway
Could you do pyra cooking guide xD?
Alright ill do it
I started my new game + and is still not back
Wait is this baby level 1 at the city for chapter 2?
Yes. There's a guy standing next to him who has the quest to feed him.
I sadly literally restarted because of that 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Why i can't feed arduran?
I killed him and he is small how to return him
I never killed it even i finished the quest
Agra-gnome-y? 😝😆
I just missed it
When can u lvl it up I’m in chapter 8 and haven’t seen it
I’m not sure if I killed it bc I don’t remember seeing it in the first place when is the first time u see it or get the quest to feed it
It's near the military base in Torigoth, at the farms.
You see him for the 1st time in chapter 2.
lol, I already killed it once you could fight it
But... I killed it in the new game plus... I'm officially in depression
It didn't work help pls
I didn't even wanna kill that shitter... I just wondered why it had this enemy symbol above his head, so I pressed R. Then I pressed R and B immidiately to loose focus and then A to see If I could talk to someone near that thing... well what happens? My goddamn Rex pulls out his weapon and autoattacks that shitter one time before I can even react... dead ardun... I don't know why exactly that is, but sometimes you just can't do fast actions in this game. If you focus or pull out your weapons, it needs a few seconds before you can pull them back.
Also if I open the fast travel tab and go out again, it takes a few seconds before I can reopen that tab. Very annoying if you wanna check something quickly. Same with opening settings tab etc.
I want to die right now, i just finished the grind for pyra cooking skill and now i'm up with this one...... before ng+
I didn't know how to target enemies unti I beat the game so it was not possible for me to kill it. Lol
I killed the ardun at its infant level but I still knew I would get f*cked over for it anyways lol
2:49 I'm not getting any Bellflower Crystal. Probably because I have Botany Lv. 2? EDIT: I'm Botany 3 and still no luck.
I killed middle ardun. And this woman and middle ardun even after sleeping or fast traveling they arent there
Okay... I didn't know about this Ardun and I didn't killed it.... Until I had it like at level 60 and then I got fed up over his bullshit and killed him while doing affinity charts for Poppi QT(Pie). It was a mix of trying to farm the level 3 special and getting tired of feeding it... If I knew he would be a Unique monster, and be a source of farming for Legendary Core Crystals, I wouldn't have killed the bitch.
Whats it do.
Aaaaa i have to start from save point. I want to die i did so much
Best way to get gold in the game?
Salvaging, then trading your salvage for boosters and Gs. Gold cylinders. Even at lvl 0 dev, a cylinder will cost 10k and give you like 18k back. At lvl 6 dev, a gold cylinder costs 6k, and still gives you like 18k back.
Basically, get comfortable with the quick-time events and you can triple your money.
Never trade for JUST Gs. Those trades are scams (you'll trade like a 2k item for only 300 G).
Zaxton Hong awesome, any specific place you recomend (already beat the game)
Onlime get a Silver Chip slap it on a Blade and grind Reeking Douglas my God at least 7,000 or so Gold including all his allies
If you still wanna know by far best spot for me was Mor Ardain by the elevator place, not the docks. You should get lots of magic canvas and ancient chalices from the chests and they can be sold together for 30k at trade center for 2 of each. I got like 1mil in a hr or so grinding there using gold cylinders
1:12
Nice. Unlike others, I didn’t kill it like a dumbass. Got it to level 80 but I figured I’d stop there until I reach max level.
Hyper Sonic Same. It seemed to suspicious to just have 1 random Ardun be fightable.
I didnt notice it was a thing until I watched this video
Pokéfan 744, same boat as you 👍
Thank God i have no idea why the fuck ardun monster stay there so i leave it alone 😌
My stupid brother killed him on my account😤😤😤
Honestly, the line between players who didn't recklessly kill the baby arduran and those that did is also the line between experienced Xenoblade players and inexperienced players.
Issac Leonhardt the funny thing about this is I’m not experienced at all in Xenoblade and I didn’t kill it for some reason. I laugh at this every time I open my game now
I didn't kill it because I thought I would fail the quest. Forgot about it at level 20 and went back to it to farm cores.
2nd jrpg and didnt kill it.
Well, I killed it too... just because I thought, that the farmer-guy would stop me from doing it. I mean: He was so proud of this little baby and all... Well, and then I killed it and he told me how disappointed he was in me.
Issac Leonhardt yeah anybody who didn’t kill it at level one is a noob
Instead of killing it couldn't you just farm it as usual and then sheathe your weapons so your teammates don't attack it and then run away so you're not in battle anymore? Shouldn't it just restore it's health and then you'll be able to repeat the process? Maybe i'm missing something but it seems a lot better than starting a NG+ every time you slaughter the poor thing and pick core crystals off its body.
30 Bellflower Crystals I’m lost dug lol 😂 this stupid rng game
i killed it at lvl 1 and i dont care :v
Ng+ wont be reviving it because all the quests carry over at its current state. You guys are better off restarting
nope, quests get reset. along with skip travel areas.
Hopefully no one listened and restarted their game because Chaika Gaz didn't want to take the time to properly research and get the facts straight.
I'm guessing everyone forgot this tidbit? www.nintendo.co.uk/News/2018/February/Monolith-Soft-s-Tetsuya-Takahashi-reveals-new-Xenoblade-Chronicles-2-update-information-1338196.html
"The following data will carry over to the New Game Plus mode from your clear save file."
"Content in the Event Theater and Unique Monster defeat status."
"UNIQUE MONSTER DEFEAT STATUS"
ArceusDX the cow thing is not considered a "unique monster" until it levels up some. When the article said "unique monster status" it was referring to every defeated monster's gravestone being ported to the second play through. The arduran cow thing is in fact a quest. So if you killed it while it was lvl 1 it will be fine.
ArceusDX
The video mentions that already
Quest progress resets. Unique monster status does not.
If you fed the armu up to 99, he becomes the unique monster. When you activate NG+, his tombstone will be either next to him or replace him.
He is not a unique monster until level 99, so if you killed him before then, he will be reverted to his default state in NG+ (lvl1).
I killed the Ardun because the guy said I can "Play with it" So I thought I could do a friendly spare.. And killed it.
