I was a demand planner in a manufacturing plant for 20+ years. We called new style orders to all stores "rollout" orders. All rollout orders HAD to ship out 100% complete and on time for exactly the reasons you explained. And at all times, you had to ship new store orders out 100% and on time. Good video.

Thanks for the update video, I was one of the folks emailing asking for an update. Hopefully, they are able to get stuff straightened out with Lowe's. My local stores have stock of most of the currently released items. I just want the next round of new items to come out, specifically that extra large one drawer box and the mounting plate. I'm tired of having it slide around the back of my vehicle. I know I can strap it down, but then it's more time consuming to get it in and out of the vehicle.

I really REALLY want ToughBuilt to thrive. I’ve used so much kit in the last 15 years and most of my ToughBuilt stuff has survived the best after heavy use. And sadly, no one else is really designing equipment that’s nearly as clever 😢

Enjoyed the video and definitely happy you put the right light on the situation. I’m a Toughbuilt user and have most of their items. Have been in constant contact with the company and have to say the customer service is top notch. Lowe’s system has given me nothing but problems, and even tried to get the rolling tool cart for about three months. Emailed back and forth with Toughbuilt and was informed that only two Lowe’s in the entire state of Ohio were stocking the item. The item was continuously out of stock. Finally called one of the stores and was told they had one. Drove an hour and a half, and they had it up on the top shelf on a pallet. Many Lowe’s stores were showing this item as a discontinued item, and were never going to get it. Had to constantly educate Lowe’s on what the product line even was. They even kept trying to push flex products after you signed up for email notifications for back in stock. Cannot wait for them to dump Lowe’s.

I'm a fan of ToughBuilt and really want some of those drawers for my truck camper build. My local Lowe's seems to only have shelf space for the rolling toolbox and a few accessories. It's annoying to no end! I used to like Lowe's more than the big orange store, but this debacle is making me rethink my loyalty. I may go for Packout if Lowe's can't get it together.

I hope you're right, I love my StackTech stuff and feel it's superior to other offerings, especially the drawer boxes. I am concerned that the "Klein coup" has torpedoed Toughbuilt at Lowe's... it's not just StackTech, most of the Toughbuilt items, at least at my stores, is being replaced including the utility knives, hand tools, cliptech pouches, etc... and let's face it, now Lowe's carries Craftsman, Kobalt, Flex, Klein, and Toughbuilt in the modular box systems... maybe TB needs to jump to HD.... I just hope they stick around, the system is fantastic for my work (low voltage service & install) I have on the 4 wheel dolly 2 single drawers, the 3 drawer, 2 low profile full width organizers, the deep organizer, the medium tool box, the work top, plus 2 of the rails for cliptech and the stupidly expensive tumbler...

Ready to spend my $ for it if they would ever release it and have it in stock at Lowes. I think Lowes is holding them back or screwing this up somehow.
One of these other tool companies would be very smart to buy them out if they could because this stuff is very well thought out and better than any of the rest out there.

The accessories are better easier to put on and off especially for me the wire rack that TB offers as an attachment is worth it. my only issue was the handle was not wide enough and the wheels were a little small made it hard to go up and down flights of stairs which is very common

And in chronological order it's like flex was in a freeze - feels like it at least Idk? - then I recall seeing toughbuilt on clearance and also not seeing new items. Needless to say it just feels weird as though at any point any can die off, with exception to Klein because storage is an addition to their products. Flex is only somewhat able to stay afloat by their tools but even then feels like it was hyped and now kind of rare to see in the wild, could just be me though idk

Thank you for this information. I own packout and stacktech, and stacktech drawers are better than the Milwaukee, in my experience and opinion. Before anyone gets bent out of shape, I own lots of Milwaukee stuff and enjoy many of their products. As far as Lowe's is concerned, they have definitely done them dirty, despite my local store having nearly sold out of everything, no restock and they have removed all of their utility knives, blades, and such in favor for a huge Klein display. Thing is Klein, barely has any options on storage systems. My local store has also tucked Flex and Craftsman into a corner. Its a hit or miss depending on which store I go to in our area. I visited one yesterday and they have all the different brands proudly on display ready for purchase.

No answer on emails from Toughbuilt Lowe’s has it out of stock everywhere. Same with their gravity rise miter saw stand… even if you want buy it you can’t. It’s foolish. There's a lot to like about StackTech, but it isn't the Packout killer I really wanted.
    1) The half-box stack problem is such a basic, fundamental error that it makes you wonder how many folks on the design team actually USE these sorts of boxes.
    2) Thinks like the ammo can or a few half boxes get very unsteady. However, the nature of the system is that a 1/2 unit only has 2 locking points, so they act as a pivot. It wobbles and until you can "bridge" the half boxes, there is no way to stabilize it.
    3) The lack of an ability to lock the drawers again indicates the design team doesn't actually have a background using these systems.
The system looks great, and it is nice, but the pricing is very premium, and there are still too many errors for a really premium system. Coupled with the financial problems of Toughbuilt? It put a hold on my desire to sell all my packout and move over.

    • @mrniusi11

The half box tray is 98% similar to a tray from their large box and they are 0% interchangeable. Why would a company tool out a factory to make trays that are 2% different! stupidity. It's like a different team was responsible for each box and the only requirements were the exterior stack mechanism. It's as big of an oversight as the stack issue.

I think probably the biggest issue is the health of Toughbuilt. The company's stock is down 94% in the last year. Lowe's doesn't do very much right, but they may actually be protecting their customers from buying in too heavily until Lowe's has confidence in Toughbuilt's health. No shade on the Stacktech products though - those are so much better looking than Packout (which looks like it was designed during recess detention by an 8-year-old boy with a learning disability😒). Designing a system as great looking as Stacktech all while vultures are circling is truly a feat. I hope they can pull out of this nosedive.

Most don't know how stocks work and what big companies try to do. Big companies will buy stock to get it as low as possible so they can try to buy up the company for pennies on the dollar. Tough built is fighting them by buying back up stock so they can't have a chance to own 50% of the company shares. Stock has stabilized now so think everything is fine as long as they don't want to retire and sell off the company we should be fine.
It's why when I own a company I won't put my company on the stock market. People will pressure you the longer you're off the market, but there is nothing stopping you from not being on the stock market there huge farm companies that have made billions not on the stock market. The game platform steam I believe is also not on the stock market all privately owned.
Once you're on the stock market there will always be a possibility of some big corporate company buying a majority of your shares and stealing the company from under your nose. Having stock is nice for expanding the company but it's also bad when someone badly wants to own it as well.

No to both. TBLT has a long history of tanking stock price and raising more funds with a reverse split. It’s really awful, and it’s the financial mishandling evidence our bear didn’t find. Do not invest.
The Lowes mismanagement in the vid is dead on though

    • @denoftools
      @denoftools  Před 11 dny +1

"Mishandling"? It's alternative financing and pretty common. You can either get traditional financing or issue more stock. There is no interest when it comes to stock. You might lose market cap in the short term BUT if you do it right and use that capital to grow the company you will come out golden on the other end. Risk vs Reward. No way to tell what the right play is till all the cards are dealt.

She told me any email address with a proton domain is banned by HD. I asked why? Proton is one of the most secure/encrypted email providers. She said something to the effect of, "HD isn't allowed the same access of information from proton email addresses, than other email providers". I said, "you mean you can't spy on me?". @@kristfur Ok, I did some digging on this and it looks like there are fewissues. Proton is not on a lot of whitelist systems because of how new and small it is compared to larger providers and as such it gets blocked by default. Proto has become a hotbed for scammers and fake accounts. And third, they block a lot of the header information. This is not personal information but packet info used to verify the service. HD and many other larger online services have a big issue with fake accounts so they block any untrusted domain. They aren't spying on you so much as seeing where the packet is from. If personal security is an issue for you i'd find someone other than Proton, they seem to have a track record of giving out info the government anytime they ask.
