Paloma’s not just a great singer but such a great person as well, Alan Carr is also hilarious. My favourite Paloma song is Picking up the Pieces, definitely think you would be a fan. 👍👍

Paloma is great, so quirky and absolutley hilarious. First time I remember encountering her was as a guest on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, she was so funny that I have been following her since.

Oh wow, I love that someone suggested Paloma to you, she is such a talent. I'll always be a fan of Stone Cold Sober - the first track of hers I heard, but she has an amazing catalogue of work now.

If you would have stuck with the video for another minute or two you would have gotten to that really hilarious story about the song. She's really funny and a sweetheart. She is also the neighbour of friends of mine - an elderly couple - and during lockdown would get groceries for them and even throw in an occasional bottle of champagne or chocolates, etc. A sweetheart.

You should react to the original video, to see why this never made it to the US! Good on Paloma for standing up to them.

Another on a long list British female soul singers that goes back for decades. Another rabbit hole for you are the youngsters from O'keef Music Foundation. Start with Tools 46 and 2 from nine years ago, it will blow your mind and warm your heart to see these kids being taught at a high level the art of music.

The story is hilarious, but may not translate well to stuffy American audiences lol
Paloma is one of my favourite modern artists, she has such a beautiful soul voice. Someone needs to request "I Just Can't Rely On You"

    Another great song -
Shane MacGowan, Johnny Depp, Chrissie Hynde, Nick Cave, Primal Screamer Bobby Gillespie, the Clash’s Mick Jones, Glen Matlock, Paloma Faith, Eliza Doolittle cover of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’s “I Put a Spell on You”.

Edit this is why I think it wasnt the hit it should have been!! reactions now speak volumes of what you all missed out on.

Greatly underrated Paloma faith sticks to soul, jazz and do-wop inspired from the 50’s. If you haven’t heard her emotional ‘Just Be’, here’s the eye watering acoustic session: czcams.com/video/PHxO5PBNMnU/video.html

Paloma Faith's US crossover was stalled because she refused to reshoot music video with interracial love scene: 'I don't want that money. It's dirty'
Paloma Faith has built quite the following over the years as one of Britain's favorite pop stars.
But the Brit Award winner has yet to breakout among US listeners since making her debut back in 2009.
She recently revealed that her US crossover was stalled after she refused to reshoot a 2014 music video, because it featured her kissing a black man.
The 38-year-old shared a passionate scene with a Ugandan childhood friend for her song Only Love Can Hurt Like This.
She told Intelligence Squared+ that a music executive said it was 'because America will not buy a song with a white woman kissing a black man like that.'
Faith continued: 'If I broke America and made loads of money as a consequence of that, knowing that I’d re-shot a video to make it not a biracial relationship, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, I don’t want that money. It’s dirty.'
She added that a 'very high-up exec who was African American' told her that 'this is the biggest chance we’ve got at breaking the States with your music career.'
